Does anybody know where to find information about quitting, where it might state if you should 1 or 2 weeks notice? 

You should always give 2 weeks notice. If you dont, you can never - work for MM again, which may be SM

This was over 2 yrs ago. I was told by my MM supervisor to give 2 wks notice so I would be eligible for rehire. I did and glad I took that advice. I was contacted about 3 wks later by MM and invited back. The job I left for (Transcend 2 wks prior to being bought by Nuance) did not work out. Ya never know. Best to not burn bridges you might need to cross back over. MM gave me the line rate I left at (which is considerably more than what they offer now).

I made more with them than any company out there pays. I gave my notice, but didn't finish out my two weeks because I had already started the job I have now, which is non-MT and that was almost 2 years ago. Now I'm in a place where had I given my notice I would probably reapply due to the amount of ongoing turmoil at my current job.

The grass isn't always greener and sometimes we don't find that out until it's too late. And I was happy at MM, maky6 for VR and 9 straight typing, but thought it wise to leave MT when the opportunity arose. Like the other poster said, don't burn your bridges.

One of the MTs who joined MM with me from our hospital laid us off after signing global contract with MM quit without giving 2 weeks or even a 1-week notice. She told them the next day after getting fed up with the nonsense and it wasn't worth the headache for the low pay. I spoke with her recently and she said that MM actually called her and asked her if she would come back. Of course she told them 'no'. MM are desperate to have bodies in chairs doing their work, not necessarily giving the proper compensation while doing it.

Not sure how long ago that was but - HSDM just told us we were overstaffed

and I did it that way, because I never, ever wanted to work for this horrible place again in my life and the job I had didn't work out either and I just dug in and found something else. There is absolutely nothing that would ever bring me back to this place, nothing! I hated it so much when I worked there and have continued to feel the same way. I don't know how any MT can take the abuse they dish out and the horrible work they give you. You can't make any money, NJA, and they take advantage of you on that. Again, I got out as fast as I could and never looked back. But hey, that's me!

Has anyone ventured towards anything like this?  I feel VERY strongly that I was wrongly terminated, but I really do NOT want to work for the company anyway, but with no income, I am not sure what to do.  I do not like the fact of them getting away with what they have done either...
