What is the deal with TTS? About 3 weeks ago I applied - Mee

through a post on a job board. I took the test, which was open book and untimed. I checked each answer before submitting so I know I got everything correct. I have over 20 years of experience with multiple specialties. I never heard anything. Then there was a post here to send resume directly to the recruiter, not through the website, which I did. Then there was an ad to apply for Dictaphone accounts directly to the recruiter, which I did. I still haven't heard anything.

The recruiter has hired all Landmark's displased MTs who applied and said bad for LandMark,but great for them and that folks came direcly from the recruiter's mouth.

That's why I have been experiencing low work, no work for the past couple weeks on my accounts at TTS. Explains a lot. They're probably overstaffed.

Yes TTS are hiring and all last week they have hired a boat load of LandMark MTs. Why don't you send them your resume, they already know LandMark MTs are in need of work.

I was also displaced at LM and am a head of household who needs a steady income. I have many years of experience in MT, all specialties, many years in acute care, also radiology. Are you at liberty to give me a ballpark cpl offered by TTS? TIA.

if you go IC, you make 9 cpl for straight transcription and 4.5 CPL editing. Hope this helps. This is just the information I have, so please no bashing.

received a call that day from a recruiter, he was very nice and sent me all of the information that I requested. I did my homework and the next day I called him back and accepted, I think the company sounds nice and I need to stay busy. I applied on another job board by sending in a resume as you did, I was kind of surprised to get a call the same day. Good luck to you.

If u want to make any kind of money stay away from TTS. I have been with them since October and am barely making minimum wage, they promise the sky but is all lies. I am staying with them to complete CNA school and getting out of this business. If you have one bad report where you fall below 98% they are on the phone calling instantly. If you have a death in the family they are calling to see when you can make up the time. There are no paid holidays even though they promise that. No PTO, even though they promise that. They are hooked in with nuance so you might get nuance doing your QA which is completely outrageous.

Sounds like these folks want to have their cake and eat it, too. Maybe they need to read the IRS publications about what constitutes an IC.

I was just offered a job with TTS. Don't all transcription companies pretty much suck to work for? After 13 years of this, I am probably going to move on. Any more info you have about this company would be appreciated. Do you know what platform they use (I really like escription) and if most of the work is straight typing or speech recognition. I too have worked for a little over a year with TTS.. There has not been ONE paycheck where I was able to work an entire 80 hours due to consistently running out of work. I was promised a secondary account, which now I am not going to get because that secondary is always running out of work. I used to make a lot of money as an MT, but since being here my income has (as Smitty says) just less than minimum wage.. how horrible. I do get PTO time; however, the PTO time is based on how many lines I am able to make and then they average it out in lines only. If you want time off, it is done by lines and not by hours. So tired of the run-around. About ready to lose my shirt working for them. They were, however, also able to give me the kind of schedule I needed.. where no other place has done that. The platform is easy, but other than that, it's been hit and miss. I need to make more money than I am now and I can't rely on work being available for me to make any money. Am going to also hold on until I am able to get something else.. no choice. Unfortunately too at my age no one wants to hire "gramma".. (over 50).

post a couple of weeks ago saying that there was lots of work available. The company I was working for as an IC lost their contracts to Nuance. I declined to go to Nuance and had pretty much decided I was done with MT and it was a good time to move on. I have been applying for any job paying more than minimum wage and have not been able to find anything. I thought I would try to get an MT position again until I could find something else. Sounds like I might as well give up on that idea.

Okay, guess I will show how dumb I am. I am an MT in a in-house office for a urologist. he dictates, I listen and transcribe. i get on here and read everyone fussing about VR. I get that VR is voice recognition...but what is your job? If you are an MT, you have VR, I realize it gets it wrong sometimes but what do you do? Read it to make sure VR gets it right and then make the changes? Just wondering. Any reply appreciated. Thanks! ...

A little over a month ago my old PC finally crashed after 10 good years. I replaced it and had to put antivirus on it (of course). I ended up taking my son to the ER and can't afford insurance, so I ended up paying out of pocket for his antibiotics. A couple of days ago I took my mom to the ER because of sudden back pain. We live in a town of ~20,000 and have a 100-bed hospital with a fully staffed ER. We were the ONLY ones in the waiting room. It took 1-1/2 hours to be seen by a triage nurse, 1 hour to be escorted to an ER room, 1 hour to be seen by a nurse (never seen by an MD), and 2 hours for a different nurse to wander distractedly into the room with discharge/followup instructions. Urinalysis has been obtained today suggesting 50 to 100 WBCs, RBCs, many bacteria, with a WBC of 6.9, hemoglobin 14.3, positive nitrites and moderate leukoesterase in his urine. First, I cannot find leukoesterase in any dictionary and believe he must mean leukocyte esterase. Can I change it? Maybe this is just my OCD tendencies speaking, but it really irritates me how the blue bar and the green bar do not line up. For example, if I am scheduled to work until 11, then I clock out at 10:30 for a break, the green bar for "Actuals" is already showing way past the end of the blue bar for "Plan." Anybody else get annoyed at docs who put every job they dictate in as a priority? I mean, everything they dictate, from a 2-month-old death summary to a 3-week-old T&A. I really hate the ones that are so old that the billing numbers have been erased from system. I'm guessing they were threatened with their license being pulled to get their work caught up. That's more important than H&Ps that need to be transferred with a dying patient right?? ...
