They send me an email everyday saying they are hiring. I have read here they are not. Also, they are running out of work and sending work to India. Any current employees willing to give opinion of working situation? Pay and bennies sound pretty good.

$10 million and hundreds of millions on their software and Precyse University, but no MT got a raise or benefitted from their huge profits? The president mistakenly sent around an email with all the financial info in it, then tried to rescind the email! Sorry, dude, you rang that bell and you can't unring it.

That truly sucks but not really out of bounds according to today's standards. Majority of corporations will pay only as much as it takes to fill the position. With economy the way it is and the state of this industry, people want to keep their jobs and have no recourse. It does delight me to see that MTs are resisting the 4/3 cents per line by one place that is always advertising.

of the game, trying to make it on Social Security after 42 years of MTland, and even though the finances are stressful, I'll take this over the MT hassle any day. By the time I got fired/retired, I was sick to death of it and when I couldn't find any joy in it whatsoever and got nauseated just thinking about having to work, I knew it was time to get out and I had no problem shooting my mouth off no matter the consequences. You just get to a point where the rope ends and I didn't have any left. Exit stage left.

I am a current Precyse MT. I have been with the company for several years and am very happy with my job. We are definitely not running out of work. They are actually frequently asking us to put in extra hours. Yes some work does go to India but a lot more of it stays right here. There are currently 3 MT jobs listed at http://careers.precyse.com/

Okay, guess I will show how dumb I am. I am an MT in a in-house office for a urologist. he dictates, I listen and transcribe. i get on here and read everyone fussing about VR. I get that VR is voice recognition...but what is your job? If you are an MT, you have VR, I realize it gets it wrong sometimes but what do you do? Read it to make sure VR gets it right and then make the changes? Just wondering. Any reply appreciated. Thanks! ...

A little over a month ago my old PC finally crashed after 10 good years. I replaced it and had to put antivirus on it (of course). I ended up taking my son to the ER and can't afford insurance, so I ended up paying out of pocket for his antibiotics. A couple of days ago I took my mom to the ER because of sudden back pain. We live in a town of ~20,000 and have a 100-bed hospital with a fully staffed ER. We were the ONLY ones in the waiting room. It took 1-1/2 hours to be seen by a triage nurse, 1 hour to be escorted to an ER room, 1 hour to be seen by a nurse (never seen by an MD), and 2 hours for a different nurse to wander distractedly into the room with discharge/followup instructions. Urinalysis has been obtained today suggesting 50 to 100 WBCs, RBCs, many bacteria, with a WBC of 6.9, hemoglobin 14.3, positive nitrites and moderate leukoesterase in his urine. First, I cannot find leukoesterase in any dictionary and believe he must mean leukocyte esterase. Can I change it? Maybe this is just my OCD tendencies speaking, but it really irritates me how the blue bar and the green bar do not line up. For example, if I am scheduled to work until 11, then I clock out at 10:30 for a break, the green bar for "Actuals" is already showing way past the end of the blue bar for "Plan." Anybody else get annoyed at docs who put every job they dictate in as a priority? I mean, everything they dictate, from a 2-month-old death summary to a 3-week-old T&A. I really hate the ones that are so old that the billing numbers have been erased from system. I'm guessing they were threatened with their license being pulled to get their work caught up. That's more important than H&Ps that need to be transferred with a dying patient right?? ...
