I hate when people make assumptions without all of the facts and I also hate when people put things out there without giving all of the information. This applied to only one account. It also was just for a day. The volume got very low and the client asked us to back out of that one account until it picked up a little. That was all.

and you know it. I also work at TTD part-time and received the same email. I will not go into what was said in the email, but it is an apple-to-oranges situation. We were not told to stop all work, where you got that from only God knows, but for whatever reason you decided to come on here and misinterpret what was said in that email, well that's on you. The only reason I decided to answer this post, and I have thought long and hard about doing so, is that I find your blatant, outlandish post really inexcusable and it just did not sit well with me. You may reply if you wish, but I have said what I needed to say and that will be it for me. You have a good day and God bless.

You can go jump in the lake as you are obviously someone trying to cover for the company. The word "everyone" was used TWICE in that message and is EXACTLY what was said. Short of copying and pasting the email....
Now this morning there is an email stating there was a "misunderstanding" and it applied to only certain shifts. What a crock! I can read and I KNOW what the email said. You're crazy if you continue to work for this company.

No, really it is mostly okay other than QA is crazy stupid. I think to get a job at Nuance QA you have to have been a Nazi in a past life.
As long as you resign yourelf to never getting the "incentive bonus" it's okay.

I have no complaints about Nuance and have not had any issues with the QA department. Overall it has been a great place to work.

Gotta say that was an instant rah-rah response. I can't recall anyone ever using the word "love" for Nuance, but sure.
I said they were okay. Not the worst I've ever had but no way do the merit the "L" word.
Nuance QA is HORRIBLE, I stand by that statement. It is the SINGLE thing about Nuance that I just DESPISE and that includes the low pay and never getting a raise.

0.0413 cpl. The fact that they do not pay based on experience and skill set is ridculous. I dont work for them and pray that I never have to based on the pay. I just could not afford to live of such a low cpl.
But for those working for TTD, it would actually be a raise because they only make 3cpl.

I think they are nice enough people, but they are just unorganized. NOBODY should go to this company as a main source of income. They are NOT dependable. One day the work is there and plenty of it..the next day "stop working until further notice"-type stuff. I believe the account was pulled for crappy work. Just my opinion.

The account itself did not go anywhere. The volume was just a little low and the client asked us to back out until the volume built again, that was all. We still very much have the account in question.
They just had an ad posted for hiring. I agree with poster - below, sounds like acct was yanked.

I've worked for them for 2 years and they do have some very small accounts that do not need daily service. So, I would give them that. But, I also haven't been paid for over a month on the accounts I do work on daily, so in the end, I have nothing nice to say about TTD. Oh...also starting wage was 2.5cpl VR and I 'lived' with that for 2 years before growing a pair and got 3cpl (that I have yet to get paid). Yup...me stoopid gurl.

Talk about a close call! I just applied to them a week or so ago. Glad I read your post first. In the event they do call about my application, I've been forewarned (and will run like the wind). These companies seem to think us remote workers have some kind of disposable income or even a second income. I just got out of a job like that.

You are VERY welcome! Luckily, I didn't quit my "day job" so I'm not without income, but I know new MTs think when they get hired it will be easy street and nothing is certain in this business!

Warning About A DSL ISP Mar 14, 2013I had to give up my $39. a month wireless ISP to comply with client requirements. Had to sign a 2 year contract with the company "C.L." whose ads claim it's only $19. a month. The speed connection for that price is equivalent to dial up. By the time you really have the DSL you need you are up to $63. a month. I also had to get a landline which I did not need.
