I read the post below from the MDI/Transcend MT who is struggling with BeyondTXT. When I was informed last week that this platform was going to be installed on my computer in a day or so and then training would take place for God knows how long, I hung up during the conference call and immediately resigned. I had started another job, which I was going to give a trial period before leaving Transcend, but I realized that taking the time and effort to learn this unfriendly user platform would actually jeopardize my new job. I had to train on the new company's platform, which is very nice, but still new to me. To try and do both, plus concentrate on acheiving good QA scores for the new position, would have made me a nervous wreck! Besides, what would that achieve? Learn BeyondTXT to just use it long enough to give notice? From what I have read, in the past and now, about this platform, I am so very happy that I jumped ship right then and there.
Then comes VR! Talk about adding insult to injury! No thank you! I was already starving at Transcend. Next step was the bread line.
Bayscribe was the best! But then again, so was MDI. Now they are both history and faster than we all expected, things are quickly starting to crumble.
I feel so badly for the MTs from MDI who are still struggling at Transcend. Take it from me, there are still nice companies out there. Go for the smaller one like I did. Believe it or not, they still care about our profession and the MTs they employ. Wishing you all good luck in finding a good company like I finally did.
