Imedx Exit Interview - SmileyChica
Posted: Mar 28, 2015
For any TT/Imedx-ers that have either resigned or were laid off, did Imedx contact you for an exit interview?
Thank You!
Depends on what they call an "Exit Interview" (sm) - Amber

I was called and told that I was laid off, that they would give me a letter of reference on request, that it had nothing to do with my performance, and this was due to MDA going to EPIC. I was not asked any questions except for my personal email address.

I've never worked for Imedx, but FWIW here's my recent experience with exit interviews.
About a year ago I "left for greener pastures," finding what I thought was a better MT opportunity. HR at the first company asked me to do an exit interview. I was glib, breezy, and unloaded a lot of frustrations. I thought the HR person and I were on the same page, just gabbing about where the company was messing with the MTs, giving preferential treatment to favorites, etc. I was SO wrong.
Well, you can guess the rest of the story. I came crawling back, hat in hand. The new position I had taken was not as advertised. The first company had my entire exit interview on hand practically verbatim and demanded that I defend every statement. What I'd said was true, but I had to do a lot of back-peddling. Really, is there any MTSO that doesn't make you feel like slime? When I left MT, I washed my hands thoroughly. I won't compromise like that again.
My recommendation would be to ham it up during an exit interview: "Gosh, this place is the GREATEST! Wow, best people in the world! Love ya LOTS! So sad to leave!" ;) Nothing is served by using the interview as a platform; IMO, it won't change anything.

100% agree with you, Smiley Chica. I, too, left for greener pastures, but I did keep my first job which I have had a decade and went part-time. I got fired from the "new" job apparently for not kissing butt good enough. Once it was clear I was being contacted to be fired, rather than argue or grovel which I really wanted to do because I don't want to be homeless, I said something to the effect of "Thank you very much for the opportunity of working here. It was a great experience." Then, I had a meltdown in the privacy of my own home. Once the decision has been made to can you, there is really nothing you can do, all the higher ups are peers, they are going to stick together. I learned a very valuable lesson, the grass is NOT greener, it's basically the same gig anywhere you go.
You're probably right, but I could never do that. - It would make me sick.
A couple of days ago I received a phone call that I guess was an exit interview/survey. They asked questions on very specific subjects, which led me to believe the company knows where it's failing. The questions were multiple choice (satisfied, dissatisfied, etc.), and asked specifically about CCM communication, benefits/PTO, line count with straight typing vs VR, and if there were any issues considered to be unethical or illegal. For what good it did, I did let them know how dissatisfie ...
Had my exit interview today and was BRUTALLY honest. I would like to think I helped the rest of ya all still in this business, but probably not. I explained in very frank words that twice working for Medqust/M Modal was two times too many. On the question of how M Modal can maintain a low turnaround in employees and make working with them better, I went with STOP off-shoring all the work, STOP the NJA, STOP the threats of firing with a failed audit. Keeping the work in the US will solve ...
I left MM a few weeks ago and today got a call. They asked lots of questions about how satisfied or unsatisfied I was with MM and I answered them all as honestly as I could. When they asked if I thought any of their practices were illegal or unethical...I told them that hiring people to work for you and then expecting them to use their PTO or go without pay when there was not enough work was extremely unethical. Especially when you have many MTs with NJA daily and others with mandatory OT someti ...
FYI I was asked to participate in a new exit interview pilot program that they will pay exiting employees. I was very very very honest. I am certain they will not hear a thing I said, but at least I know I did my part to speak up for those who are still there and suffering. ...
I've pursued this line of work more out of obligation rather than choice. I know where the wind is blowing, so I'm going back to school for my Associate of Applied Science. But I'll have to juggle work and school for 2 years.
I currently work an "Indian QA" company. I had a rocky start, such that I had considered quitting and I take my chances with another company. I wisely stuck with them (after advice from this very board), and it's a good thing I did, because the seemin ...
I was reading in the employee handbook where it says that like to do exit interviews when an employee voluntarily terminates employment. Do they actually do that? ...
when all they have to do is read this board to find out why MTs are leaving? Not that I expect any logical actions from them but since they are paying an outside company to do the interviews, this is an added expense. ...
Moderator, please delete everything on your site that refers to Imedx, even this post of mine, it is only the right thing to do. I prefer to be angry and have no where to vent.
Last week we were told by Op Mgr that "she has a call into the client about why volume is so low."
Yesterday, we got a "yippee" from "her" about having a coupla hundred jobs ready.
This morning, we got an email saying, "we need to make sure you have backup accounts now."
I wont address the timesheet issue, I am still ...
No one on this board seems to give specifics when they get canned from IMEDX. So my question is this: Can each person who got laid off/fired let us know more details. Were you PT or full time, did they call or did they email, did you have options, or just firing. How many lines did you do per day. Some of us may not be in your situation and you may have been just an employee that was not worth IMEDX's time and they got rid of you while they may keep all the others, or full timers. Details p ...
I found this on Medquist's latest quarterly financial report. It's pretty self-explanatory, although I think it is probably for the suits, as we MT/MEs don't get any severance pay. But it gets me that they can nonchalantly say that the employees who are about to be "disposed" of aren't even aware of it.

Is there anyone that actually enjoys working for MQ? I lost my job this week and so I am looking for something to start quickly, and so far the only interview I have set up is with MQ. Please give me some hope! ...
I have an interview with MD-IT and wondered about some posts in the archives that are quite recent that stated there has been a lack of work and layoffs with no warning. I am wondering whether I should even bother interviewing. I am looking for a new job because of lack of work, not wanting to walk into another similar situation. Any thoughts? Thanks. ...
I encourage all MQ employees to register with this newspaper (link below)and voice your opinion of MedQuist. It is our chance to be heard and let the public hear the "other side" rather than the "rosy" talk of Mr. Davenport.

I am looking for a Transcriptionist (whether recently employed or been working as a transcriptionist for years) to interview for my final semester to understand the changes and demands of the transcription filed. I also want to know how you feel about the way things have changed. You can either reply here or through my email
Some questions:
1. What education and/or training did you go through to become an MT?
2. Where are you employed (hospital/clinic) and how long have you been working ...
I have an interview next week for a coder 1 position. Have had my CPC-A for a few months, but not much luck getting a position. This is the 1st interview I have even been offered. Any tips on how to land this job? I have many year experience as a medical secretary, transcriptionist, editor, but getting that 1st coding job in the area where I live is very difficult. Hello,
Does anyone have any helpful tips for me? I'm on my way to a job interview for transcription. I'm a former MT wanting to get back into it. I have experience, but haven't worked in the MT business for 1 year now. I do know I am the only person interviewing because the job isn't posted.
I have my updated resume, nice dress outfit, hair and nails groomed, and shoes polished.
Any helpful advice to calm my nerves? I really want this job.

I am about half way to getting my MT certificate. I have an assignment in my career development class where I have to set up a phone informative interview with somebody in the MT field. It would be about 15-20 mins. and I would basically be asking about your personal experiances, advice, ect. If anybody would be willing to help me out on this, it would be greatly appreaciated. Please let me know as I have to have something set up by Fri. The interview does not have to be by Fri. just have to hav ...
Have an interview scheduled with Encompass this coming week. Anyone have information on what types of questions to expect, or what their process is like in general? Haven't had an interview in ages. Any help is greatly appreciated! :) ...
If you are an MT with 10 or more years experience (actually a requirement with 1 company), and you are testing and interviewing, consider this. When you do your research on a company that you are applying with, print all the negative posts such as "horrible platform, hardly ever any work, pay is slow, they offshored my account, VR problems, etc., etc." If you score perfectly on your test and have good recommendations, land an actual interview, we should address these concer ...
Hi group! I have a job interview with Rita at Futurenet tomorrow. The reason I am looking is I am really tired of constantly running out of work because my company over hired and now we transcriptionists are just out of luck! I am in my 4th year with my current job and suddenly can barely hit $100 a day. This is really sad when there is no loyalty to their employees. Now from what I have been reading Futurenet is the same??? I read from this group how they run ...
