Was wondering if Nuance is a reliable place to work for? If anyone else works for them? I was emailed for an interview, and was just curious. Any and all info appreciated.. ty~ :) Gina

before making any leaps of faith. Check on the company board, as well. There are very few that have anything good to say about this company.

Definitely check out the boards. Very few positives from anyone and most of those are from newbies who haven't been there long enough to be hit by the reality of what's about to happen.

my old job.. the company I worked for she was great, but the company we typed for, was horrible after the daughter took over everything. I'm beginning to think I need to find something else to do besides transcribing..

I just went through an interview and the testing process. I am supposed to be getting an offer tomorrow, according to an email I just got. I am starting to have second thoughts after reading all the negatives on here.

I understand about not being rich. LOL. I just figure the benefits are better than none, because the current place I type for has no benefits AND pays low. So, I guess we just see what happens! Wishing you well too! Email me if you want!

Do yourself a favor, and don't take it seriously. I don't mean you should be bad at your job, but the QA is very nit-picky, and it can really demoralize you if you don't just ignore it to a certain degree.

The pay is not good, as I'm sure you've heard. If I work at my normal level of attention and concentration (read: not fantastic, but not lazy either), I average about $10 an hour. If I really buckle down, it's about $15.

Anyhoo, good luck to you either way.

The company I worked for didn't have any benefits at all. When I had gotten up to 1000 lines per day steadily, they switched accounts, put three together and it knocked me back down.. I am not sure if I ever got 1000 lines again, as they were letting their regular MTs have all the "good" work early and we would have to wait til afternoon/evening/night to get much up on the work boards.. then.. you would be so stinking sleepy you couldn't type that long~ i may do the interview, but I have until 3 today to let her know if i will be available~ thanks ya'll for your input~ and jen I don't have your email, but if you wanna get ahold of me anytime feel free, bugginu86@hotmail.com My name is Gina~

I am doing some side work transcribing a research interview, and was wondering your opinions. One of the respondents in the interview panel is ESL. Her grammar is very often incorrect. I asked them when I got the project if they wanted the transcription verbatim, and she said "yes, let's leave it true to form."
