Laid off - sweetpea

Well, I got the call yesterday about halfway through my shift that I'm being laid off, because of lack of work and eliminating my position. Needless to say, I was totally blindsided. I've been with this company for 15 years and am just 3 years away from retirement. The last thing I wanted to do at this juncture was to start a new job/career. My supervisor told me the layoffs have been ongoing. Is the company having financial difficulties? I had noticed the drop off in work since the Holidays.

I am still kind of dazed today, I don't think it has really set in yet. I'm just trying to figure out what my next move is.
