You can apply for social security 90 days before your birthday, so for you, the end of next month. MEDICARE - age 65 only. BUT you can go on the Health Insurance Marketplace and get insurance based on your income, and it's VERY REASONABLE if you have a low income coming in; and to be honest, that's the REASON I WENT PART-TIME as I got it CHEAPER on the MARKETPLACE than what MMODAL/AQUITY wanted for our portion of the contribution.
