and you have no idea of anyone else's situation. You only know yours.

Maybe some people dont have a car. Maybe they have children they cant leave or abandon. No way to get to an attorney to file divorce, can't get to the police in a very small town or out in the country where the abuser is buddies with the police or sheriff department and tells everyone "she's nuts" and there's just enough threads of truth to his carefully woven web of lies to invalidate her story and let him off free and clear while everyone thinks he's a saint for putting up with a crazy woman.

Restraining order is only a piece of paper.

People like you need to go sit down and shut up because you are NOT in anyone else's shoes no matter how similar your situation might be to someone else's, you are NOT living their life.
