Don't leave your pathology job until you absolutely have to because it will be a long road back to your current status. Office politics drove me batty too, but after almost 15 years working alone, I realized I was getting nowhere fast, and now with this VDI garbage and Nuance taking over the world, I looked elsewhere, and finally at 71 years of age, found a part time MT job in a ortho clinic with one doctor who is not signed up with any EMR. I call him "back to the future." I know this gig won't last forever, but the pay is excellent, and with Sennheiser (sp) noise-canceling earphones, I block out the office political garbage... and this is a very busy office. Good luck to you, get some counseling, and some good antidepressant and anxiety meds, and move forward!!!
