MTSO RATES - UNDERPAID AND UNDER APPRECIATED Posted: Feb 18th, 2017 - 10:06 pm In Reply to: Was wondering... - Backwoods Typist
In my humble opinion, there is one reason why experienced and talented transcriptionists are having to work for minimum wage, some times less than and sometimes a little more than, but not what they deserve with their talent and skills. The MTSOs have cornered the market on Transcription Service by quoting potential clients (i.e. hospitals, clinics, doctors, etc) an unrealistically low rate for their work. The only way the MTSOs can quote such a low rate is to have transcriptionists willing to work for less money than they are worth. This is capitalism at its finest. The MTSOs really have nothing else they can cut in their operations to be able to quote such a rediculously low rate other than pay their employees and IC's a rediculously low rate. Again, this is my opinion......
