I work for a different company, but hitting ctrl S in EditScript will clear up garbled audio. We are supposed to do this at the beginning of every report, but sometimes even in the report if I back up and hit ctrl S repeatedly, the audio corrects itself. Since EditScript is a Nuance product, maybe that would work? If it is Inscribe or whatever, I would call the vendor themselves and ask.
