you is totally inaccurate. You most certainly can qualify for unemployment in this circumstance. Why would you talk to an employment attorney anyway? You should have headed staight to the unemployment office (or as in most states, online). Some states do allow for a waiting period of a week or so if you are let go rather than laid off, but you still can collect for being "fired" unless it is some outrageous incident such as stealing, etc. Now go get your unemployment!
