Anyone familiar with ChartNet?-sm - Lillian

Posted: May 18, 2012

I'm trying to learn it...no training provided by company.  What does "previous notes" mean.  I thought I knew but now not sure.  I have tons of questions but I guess I will learn as I go.

Thank you.

I work on it. - sm

If you are in the report, hit F6 and it will bring in a drop box for you to select previous reports for that patient, or for the doctor dictating. Very useful feature if you want to understand their common statements that they speed through, verify a drug, etc.

I have worked on an account where that particular feature was not operable. Hope yours is because it is nice to have.

I don't/can't use F6 but I can use Shft+Ctrl+P (under the heading insert) and then I always get message of No iKnowMed Previous no previous notes. I am kinda new so maybe there is no data base built up but it sure would be wonderful to pull in previous reports!

I usually use my mouse, go up to "report", go down to "previous reports". There is a drop down box. It is very helpful. I use mine ALL the time! :)
To ChartNet user - please sm

We were told that once you go into the actual report to edit, the clock does not start for 60 seconds. So, you are basically doing 1 minute of work that is not timed. We add the number of reports to our time sheets.

Is the same true for typing? We do both. I am concerned because if it works that way in straight typing, I am actually doing OT that is not calculated by the system.

I type on ChartNet, but my time is calculated another way so I am not sure about OT and how you are getting your hours on ChartNet. Sorry :(
Possibly someone else knows who has their hours calculated on ChartNet.

Are You Familiar With
Dec 15, 2011

a company by the name of dtsok (Digital Transcription in Oklahoma).  If so, what do you think of the platform they use?  It is called SpeechMotion (supposed to be similar to Chartnet).  I just started working there and now I wonder how an MT can produce enough lines to make it worth her while.  It seems rather involved and lots of steps to go through to complete a report.  Am I wrong?  Should I stick with it before I am really familiar with this platform or should I ...

Anyone familiar with M*Modal?  I was able to complete part of their testing and still working on the dictation part of the test.  Figured I better check them out before I go to all the trouble of completing the test.  I think I saw they were related to Medquist, but not sure.  Medquist is not all that anymore, at least that is what I have heard.  Any help would be appreciated.  I am in trouble of losing my current job due to EMR.  Thanks. ...

Who Are Familiar With Bayscribe
Mar 06, 2013

Those of you who are familiar with Bayscribe, did you find:  The spell check dictionary is void of many common words?  It also does not detect uncapped words at the beginning of sentences or spacing issues. The word expander locks up for periods of time so cannot create new expansions. It has horrible quirks that cause expansions not to work correctly (they just don't expand) , capital letters show up in the middle of sentences and do not cap where they are supposed to, and extra ...

ChartNet - Thank You!

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for everyone's input on ChartNet.  Everyone posted positively and, as usual, you were right.  It's a great platform, really easy to learn and VERY MT-friendly.  I also got lucky and the dictators are excellent, too, so the whole experience has been wonderful.  Thanks to all who reassured me and to anyone else wondering, yes, ChartNet is the bomb! ...

If This Is Possible In ChartNet ?
Jul 15, 2011

I have been using ChartNet for a few weeks now.  My training was really brief, so I still have a lot to learn.  With the way we do the headers (cnt-N) and subheaders (cnt-shift-N), there doesn't seem to be any way to paste large sections into the report to include headers and/or subheaders.  I did that a lot in DocQscribe, and it sure did help my line count not to mention my hands and wrists when I could copy and paste large sections into certain reports, especially with things like card ...
