Serioulsy, wouldn't it have been easier to just tell us SM - Ben Tover

Posted: Dec 17, 2014

they were going to pay us 7 cpl?  From just glancing through the posts here that is what everybody is basically saying.  Did anyone make more than that?  I for one am NOT going to approve my timecard because I DON'T APPROVE!

I'm still up in the air on whether I will finish out this week or not.

I got 7.5/line-sm - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
My QC is 3% and my QA is 98 something. The most I can ever realistically expect is 8/line. I am on a new account and while I had great quality in the past, I am not able to do that and produce too and my production is not likely to increase all that much so while my lines were figured at 7.5 I am really just getting minimum wage. There will definitely be a MUP category on my check.

Mine was more than that, but still not showing - wannie

downtime pay and I'm hesitant to approve without that showing.

I am sure I just got off lucky this week.

The ax will drop next week, I assume.

Did your C-LPH line up on the grid? I had a good rate too but I don't think it's lining up. So confused.

that if you somehow work "faster, harder, smarter" (which is BS, of course), your pay will improve.

It's just Scruance rubbing salt in the wounds. Ignore them.

I got 0.087 cpl but... - BBMT

[ In Reply To ..]
... my QA% score is 90.0%. I want to know where they got that number from though. The one & only report I have in FIESA was on 12/3 and was 99.25%. It's not my fault they didn't get around to auditing any reports for me. If they had used the 99.25% it would have gone up to 0.094 cpl. If they had actually bothered to audit any reports, it might have gone up even more. I was able to manage to have my exclusives reinstated recently (woo-hoo!), and between knowing those docs like the back of my hand and being extra, super careful... I KNOW my QA% score would have been decent if they had audited any of my reports. I have no clue where the the 99.0% come from. My QC% was 0.44%... well below the 10% line. I would love to hear more ambulatory folks chime in on what their scores were and whether they actually have recent QA% scores in FIESA at all. I don't, but they gave me 99.0%. Why that number? Why not the 99.25% that is in there? It's from 12/3, but still.. that would make more sense than making up a number out of thin air. Better yet, audit some recent reports and give me an accurate score.

? - tiredMT

I'm on ambulatory and I don't know where the heck they got their figures. Over 1/4 of my jobs were autopended per specs and only sent in 5 stinking jobs to QA for blanks, which even they couldn't fill it and it was WAY below the 10%. How they came up with their QC figure of more than 10% is what I'm going to find out if it takes me all day. I have a 100% QA score for that week but still only made 0.07 per line. Again?

So did you have audited reports in FIESA? - BBMT

[ In Reply To ..]
Did they base your 100 QA% score on reports in FIESA? I don't understand why I only have the one report from 12/3 in there and that's not the score that was even used to figure my cpl.
audited in Fiesa - tiredMT
[ In Reply To ..]
I had like 7 reports audited in Fiesa for that pay period, with 100% QA.

Similar situation here - MT

[ In Reply To ..]
They have my QC listed as 20%. Can you believe that? I really don't ever have many blanks. Most of what I send to QA is for other stuff like CCs or no dictation. Things beyond my control.

Also, my only score in FIESA says 100%, yet on my time card it says 99%. Interesting.
Wow.. ok so what I'm seeing here is... - BBMT
[ In Reply To ..]
.. that it def seems that our scores in FIESA are not matching up with what is on our time cards. Anybody else besides us two? I believe this must be particular to the ambulatory division since we are new with the whole FIESA thing. If there are other folks from ambulatory (or anybody) who's seeing that their scores in FIESA (if they even have one in there) are not matching to what is on your time card, please chime in with what your QA/QC percentages are. There is more that one poster on here who has said that they had under 10% QC but had no reports in FIESA for this past pay week and received an automatic QA% of 99.0%. A lot of the people who have had reports audited in FIESA and have a nice QA% seem to have over 10% QC and are getting the 7 cpl. Most of these people are saying that the stuff they sent in for review were mandatory pends for cc's and the like. Is this seriously what is happening here? My QA% score on my time card does not match the ONE score that is in FIESA for me. I have absolutely NO reports audited from this past pay week at all, and they didn't even use the one report I do have in FIESA from 12/3 to base my QA% score on... they more or less just made up a QA% score for me. They didn't get around to auditing any reports for this past pay week, so they just assign a score of 99.0%? Why? That number is based on what exactly? It just feels right to them? Is this legal?

11.3 CPL - binglebug

[ In Reply To ..]
I am still very uncomfortable about not knowing how much I will make from week to week, but I can take comfort that I had at least one good week. It is actually a big improvement from the old compensation plan. They post-audited 3 of my reports. My adjusted lines per hour were slightly less than what I calculated, but not enough to be concerned with. I guess we'll see how week 2 goes. I can already see instances where it's not going to come out quite so well.

How are you all typing straight? I thought it was almost - SM

[ In Reply To ..]
I thought it was almost all VR.. How are you guys doing straight typing? Did you just start there on a new account?

Probably 90/10, VR to straight typing - binglebug

[ In Reply To ..]
It really is mostly VR. I have only been with Nuance a couple of months and started with a brand new account. I have to say, it's a really easy account, although we seem overstaffed for it.

To determine your LPH, divide your edited lines by 2, add it to your typing lines, than divide by the number of hours worked.

I am Ambulatory and only do straight typing. - no message

The dislikes for the decent CPL are just beyond amazing to me. I would never begrudge anybody making money and would not display the petty jealousy going on here. I am truly sorry for all of you losing money. I had a good week and my stomach has a hole in it from the constant stress. I am well aware this week can go straight to at any given point, but I do appreciate the fact you disliked my CPL. Merry Christmas to you.

VR? Easier? LOL.
Jan 19, 2013

Today was my first day of VR. I've been an MT for 25 years. OMG, what an experience! I am mentally drained. Using my hands, foot, ears, eyes, brain and 6 different software programs that have to be manuevered simultaneously while "translating" poor dictation and/or poor VR is the ultimate in multi-tasking. Seriously can we add another task, or another of the five senses to this job for half pay? Working VR is like riding a unicycle up on the high wire while juggling oranges, wearing ...

There Has To Be An Easier Way Of Doing This!
Nov 04, 2013

I need help. I work for a company that pays different CPL for VR and straight typing. Is there a program that I can purchase or download that will keep track of my earnings and/or add them up for me? I'm doing upwards of 50 reports per day and I have to go get the statistics off one page, use a calculator to multiply and then insert the totals into my spreadsheet and THEN add them all up. This is way too time consuming. There HAS to be another way to do this that won't take up my valua ...

Some WTs Easier?
Jun 30, 2014

Just started with a new company and have been hearing that some MTs got in trouble for rejecting certain work types because they were harder.  Do some MTs really find certain work types easier or more difficult?  I can't tell a difference in difficulty from worktype to worktype.  For me it is the dictator that makes the report easier or harder.  Just curious. ...

You Wouldn't Believe What I Have To Do Where I Work
Aug 16, 2010

I've been employed by an orthopedic surgery practice for about 6 years now. I think it was after the first year, I started having to compose office notes from the paperwork the patient filled out (all of their history), plus the templates the provider filled out.  I hated it and protested to my office manager. Then gave up, then about a year later I asked her to talk to the doctor about his hand writing to no avail. One doctor never made me read his writing, he would fill out the templ ...

Wouldn't It Be Great

wouldn't it be really great if there was some sort of email address for us to contact our hospitals directly...without the M*Modal propaganda?  We could say "Dear Dr. ___, I understand you are really busy and dictation is low on your priority list, but if you could take an extra moment and clearly articulate your dictation, the reports would come back to you with less questions and/or errors."   I know...I know...quit dreaming.  It is really sunny and warm outside my window ...

When you have a report that is with a difficult dictator and within the first few lines you have a blank you know you are going to send to QA - if the report is long and there are a few other blanks you might have to leave but might be able to get if you spent time researching, wouldn't it be better to not even waste time researching those blanks since all the lines are being counted toward your 5% submission rate - it would seem that it would be best to do the rest of the report as quickly ...
