Ward Clerk, but I may be wrong. You're correct no more med secretaries and they were mostly in offices anyway. I was considered a medical secretary at one time, but did the transcription for the doctors, as well as answering phones, etc. Those days are long gone now.
I also was an insurance secretary, now they are called coders. I did the exact the same thing as coders do now. Again, those days are long gone. Wow, I'm old! :o)
