It's not having to do it that bothers us, - KRMT

it's doing the work and not getting paid for it. We are supposed to be paid for every 65-characters we review and potentially edit. Why are the demographics not factored into this? We are not paid for sending CCs either. Those are time consuming and can take up a good percentage of your time, especially when they want a CC sent to 4 different doctors with names that are confusing to understand and very difficult to spell or have multiple different spellings. Sometimes, it takes me as long to find the CC'ed names as it does to edit the entire report. It's pretty sad when you work for a company and can only expect job security if you're willing to provide some of your time for free. Doctors don't work for free, they make 6-figure incomes, hospitals are hugely profitable, even medical secretaries are paid very well. They tell us all the time how important our job is. You certainly cannot tell our importance by what we're paid.
