We are poorly paid specialists (most who are certified) who already make peanuts to do this job, asked to do freebie work in addition to the little that they pay us already. If I made the $36K I made 10 years ago when I started doing this job, I wouldn't be complaining about the little extra freebie work, but we already make practically nothing. I've never worked this hard for so little pay in my life. They are probably still charging the medical facilities the same rate as they did 10 years ago, yet have cut our line count rate significantly, most of the time in half. Editing reports is time consuming because the editing software, which I'm assuming is Dragon, sucks. The amount of edits are excessive. There are so many edits that I'd rather just type the report from scratch and make more per line.
