No, you will get paid for up to one hour, BUT, corrected email says - call is NOT free. sm

It was sent via follow up email entitled, "There seems to be some confusion..."
And then a note on bottom saying the call isn't free. I guess the webinar IS free, but you sure as heck will have to PAY to ask any questions during the call.
Not me, for long distance. - They pay $10 hourly rate

for our time, but not for the long distance call. For me, at least.

I am not sure why I even keep working for Nuance. I hate working for a company that would rather outsource to a dift company and put us out of work. Truly money is the root of all evil. I work here hoping that maybe they will start appreciating us but am I dreaming? This meeting today is making me nervous. Wish I was able to listen in but am at work on my first job of the day.
yes you are dreaming. - sm

The trend has completely been going the other way. They appreciate us cranking out the lines, and nothing more. As far as the old saying, taken from its source, it is the LOVE of money, not money, that is the root of all evil. On your other point, yes, I am nervous too, but it is just likely to confirm what we have been told would happen. and it may take me awhile, but I'm down the road Jack if they cut my wages. We do need to take things in stride as much as possible, so the job does not wreck the health. What we can't change, we either accept, or move on to the next fun place.

Yes if that is the case I quit today. I will officially give notice when I get home and probably not even a two weeker since they have been so kind their own selves. I am glad I do not need this job but so many others do and it should be against some law. We need a union. Glad no one knows me :)
According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive.
In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...
I am surprised they didn't have the meeting muted on your side so they could just spin their side of everything and to $#$@ with the questions. Your grid must evidently be different from the one we are on (Enterprise system) but I am sure if they take away something from one group, they will find a way to hit another group next.
Didn't they try to reduce your rates once before, then backpedaled on it? Not sure how many of you are impacted by this, but I have to wonde ...
I am full time & started training class the last week of July so this is my 1st full pay period. I know we are required to make $900 a pay period, but I can't find my offer letter and can't remember if this was after you'd worked 90 days, or that after 90 days they will check to see if you are averaging. (?) I've done straight type & made a little over 100 lph so far with getting used to the platform/dictators and inputting type shortcuts & templates. ...
For 2 days now. Yep... out of turn around time for over 2 days. There is overtime for these accounts, but it seems NO ONE IS WORKING. These accounts have never been out of turn around time. ...
Just got email about a "team meeting" next week. I wonder what it's about? I don't remembering ever having one of these before in my area. Maybe we're all going to be told we have to work nights now or our jobs are going 100% outsourced, or maybe we're going to get some actual steady work with the Spheris buy. ...
Well now, don't all we US MTs at Acusis feel better after our quarterly meeting? After being informed of all the new accounts signed on, we are told that, of course, they are going to India. But this quote they left us with should soothe us. "In times of great change the learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves uniquely equipped to operate in a world that no longer exists." KMA! ...
Has anyone actually received pay for manditory meetings we attended discussing the transition from DTS to Transcend? Our acct mgr even sent out an email saying that payment on the LAST meeting would be delayed until this pay period, but I find nothing on my check stub to suggest we've been paid for any of them yet. If you have, where is the information located on your check stub? All I have is straight pay and holiday pay.
TIA ...
The email said 12pm Eastern time, does that mean 11am central time? Sorry if seems like a stupid question, but just wanna be sure. I get confused with time zones.

I've been recently "acquired" by MModal and am jumping through lots of hoops. Have been informed by our CCM that we are required to attend the All Hands Meeting today at 12 EST. Just wondering what this is and if it's something I need to worry about. ...
Please please post meeting info when it is complete today on this site. This is the only way I am able to keep up during the day. Thank you!! I do not plan on any good news that way I am not disappointed. ...
Well, the fact that they are saying this meeting is for all TRCR MLS's tells me for sure they are just going to show us the reduced pay scale which will bring us in line with all their other worker bees. ...
Several of the managers I have on my IM have statuses saying they're in a meeting. Not sure if this is just their regular monthly meetings with the COM or if this has something to do with the new compensation plan or whatever.
Anyone else have managers in meetings all morning?

I am so tired of receiving the frantic emails about TAT, I am tired of being on MOT, I am tired of attempts being made to make the MTs feel like it is THEIR fault the POD has the highest number of unedited jobs in the system. I am tired of groups being blamed for work going out of TAT when the problem is under staffing. We are human. We are limited in the amount of production we can crank out. If high volume is the case for a week or two, I can understand putting in a lit ...
Always the same old song and dance. The subject of MTs needing more pay per line comes up, and what does the speaker do? Redirect the focus on all the added "upgrades" to their software they plan to buy (probably for hundreds of thousands of dollars) to "help us be more productive". Got news for them. You can only go SO fast. There IS a limit. And after all the emphasis on accountability and accuracy, do they not see that speed just increases errors ...
It is such a beautiful day today, finally spring is here. I have DQS refresher course today and am going to take my laptop to the back porch. 2 hours in the sun, with some iced tea and a spring breeze, don't mind if I do! ...
Well, I see MQ is still touting the fact that we can produce more with ASR. Some things never change. If I had had notice that DSG was selling out from under us, I'd have started seriously looking for another job a long time ago. Not to mention 3 cpl less for QA submissions over 5%. Same ol' place I left all those years ago that I swore i wouldn't go back to. Actually, I didn't, I was just sort of "put" there. Have choices, though, and have ...
not that I attended it but someone else told me that there was an MT board where you could go and select the accounts you want and so you would only get those particular accounts? Has anybody ever heard of this and where it is and how to we do that? Very interested if true! Thx ...
