March 19th at 12:00 pm Eastern, we will hold our first MT "All Hands" Webcast.
Question: What is the BOOST initiative?
It's where they watch your keyboard/mouse use while editing - dnr
[ In Reply To ..]and they tell you how to increase your productivity. It's like those keyboard/mouse tally reports they were sending out and telling us we could do better if we didn't use the mouse. Only, this time they are doing it live.
Rather than fix the problem with ASR, they are blaming us for our low production rather than looking at the fact that most of us produced more typing.
so wouldnt it be even more important to - attend this boost thing

Ill be the guinea pig, I will let them follow me around! Ill show them its their program, not me.
They don't get that every mouse and keyboard movement in ASR has to do with corrections. - dnr
[ In Reply To ..]They just don't get it. The mouse/keyboard should only be moving to format period. Anything else is due to incorrect (horridly so) output of the ASR. They should be using these statistics to judge the programmers, not us who are using the mouse/keyboard to correct their shoddy work.

[ In Reply To ..]totally ridiculous... keep getting those e-mails, have asked for help, and what these stats really mean, etc., but get no advice. Have written e-mails about poor quality of ASR, and why, after having had ASR for quite a while, the ASR is continuing to put out the same errors on particular doctors' dictations report after report, where supposedly the ASR software would "learn" from our corrections, and the next time would put in the correct word! HA HA!
Think the Dragon Naturally Speaking program is much better than our ASR!

I am training someone and I am now reminded how far I have come, how much I have learned, and the things I take for granted and assume others know. Basic things, just proper English, not even taking into consideration the medical terminology. Knowing whether a sentence makes sense or not. We really should be paid better. But it is nice to feel smart sometimes....and you know anyone who can do this job really does have to be pretty darn intelligent. Fello ...

DTS/Transcend Meeting Pay

Has anyone actually received pay for manditory meetings we attended discussing the transition from DTS to Transcend? Our acct mgr even sent out an email saying that payment on the LAST meeting would be delayed until this pay period, but I find nothing on my check stub to suggest we've been paid for any of them yet. If you have, where is the information located on your check stub? All I have is straight pay and holiday pay. TIA ...
