Nothing of much value to me: New technology, global partners, SR, industry trends. Sounds like a followup email will come out highlighting the high points.

I did not attend the meeting, but I'm getting more disgusted each day with this company. Global partnership...BS. I work a very eary morning shift and have watched my workload go down the toilet in the last 6 months or more, all due to their so-called "global partnership." I've been a very loyal employee for more than 6 years. I work my shift, have taken no more than 3 days off due to deaths in my family, and this is the thanks I get? On a team conference call recently there was a reference to "we have an obligation to our offshore parties concerning workload." Well, how about the obligation to the MLS that trained the darn system so the offshore "parties" can reap the glory? Just amazing and unbelievable. I'm really more sad than angry. I enjoyed working for Transcend for the first 4-5 years or so and looked forward to waking up every morning and logging in to work. Not so much these days. Actually, it's really depressing to wake up and find NO work on your main account and knowing that it went offshore overnight. Then you sit there and wait for the docs to start dictating for the current day. Oh well, such is life!

The "responsibility to their offshore parties" is exactly why they lost so many good MTs to begin with....I'm pleased to see many companies now posting USA MTs only, and proud also that I am now with a company that uses only "highly experienced USA MTs" -

Metro Transcription out of NJ. Great company, they don't bother you, they treat their MTs with respect and DO NOT OFFSHORE!!!!! They do not have a big turnover because they are good to their people, and I'm grateful to be one of them.

Has anyone actually received pay for manditory meetings we attended discussing the transition from DTS to Transcend? Our acct mgr even sent out an email saying that payment on the LAST meeting would be delayed until this pay period, but I find nothing on my check stub to suggest we've been paid for any of them yet. If you have, where is the information located on your check stub? All I have is straight pay and holiday pay. TIA ...

I am so tired of receiving the frantic emails about TAT, I am tired of being on MOT, I am tired of attempts being made to make the MTs feel like it is THEIR fault the POD has the highest number of unedited jobs in the system. Always the same old song and dance. The subject of MTs needing more pay per line comes up, and what does the speaker do? Redirect the focus on all the added "upgrades" to their software they plan to buy (probably for hundreds of thousands of dollars) to "help us be more productive". Got news for them. You can only go SO fast. There IS a limit. And after all the emphasis on accountability and accuracy, do they not see that speed just increases errors ...

Well, I see MQ is still touting the fact that we can produce more with ASR. Some things never change. Today our inhouse hourly waged MTs group figured out a way to keep our work in our clinic and not being outsourced. We are going to make our present wage AND get back some of the doctors that went to outside line count charge. We put our heads together and figured it out and our director (not an MT in any way, shape, or form) is all for our plans. Now that is what I call a first step to keeping our jobs in house! We were scared to present this but it would have been worse ...
