DTS/Transcend Meeting pay - Old-n-Tired

Has anyone actually received pay for manditory meetings we attended discussing the transition from DTS to Transcend? Our acct mgr even sent out an email saying that payment on the LAST meeting would be delayed until this pay period, but I find nothing on my check stub to suggest we've been paid for any of them yet. If you have, where is the information located on your check stub? All I have is straight pay and holiday pay.

If we got paid for the first 2 meetings, and she insists we did. Thought I'd ask others first before I try bringing it up to her again. Every email to these people seems to stir a hornets nest, and I'm beginning to get tired of being stung, if you know what I mean.

After seeing this discussion, I pulled out my last pay stub and from the looks of it I have not been paid for any of the mandatory meetings. No where on my stub does it have Training Prod. I will be looking into this further because these meetings have cut into a fair share of my production and we were told that we would be compensated for them. Thanks for bringing this up.

Plus, I'm an employee not IC, so yeah, I'm going to squeak until I get some money grease. I did email my acct mgr, who forwarded my email to someone in payroll, who then emailed me and wanted to know what meetings I was talking about, the orientation or the Timesaver?...hrumph! There were FOUR so FAR! Plus, the acct mgr sent out at least 2 emails, one saying that we needed to let her know who attended the first meeting as roll was not taken, and then another email apologizing that the third meeting would not be paid until this past check (yeah, STILL not paid!!)....all the time insisting that we had already been paid for the first 2, one of which was "mandatory." Good luck on getting paid. I'm gonna keep fussing until something is done :-)

There have been quite a few 'mandatory' meetings that they try not to pay for. On our old timeclock system, I would just put in the time and list it as training to make sure I got paid for it. Once they went to the current timeclock, it's not been easy to do, so I quit showing up for meetings. I refuse 'mandatory' anything unless I'm paid. Good luck. I hope you get your money (and the timesheet should show "training" time or something like that, otherwise you did not get paid for it).

I really appreciate the information. Yeah, I had a feeling I had been stiffed on this. I'll drop the acct mgr another email and see what excuse pops up this time.

I was told by my company if you are IC status and not employee we are not paid for meetings... so I wont attend them unless its after my scheduled hours.

We have at least 1 meeting every week and as long as I put it on my TimeSaver, I get paid and always have....

I have never had problems getting paid for mandatory meetings. There is even a place where you put in your time where you can put meeting and how long it was for.

I am so tired of receiving the frantic emails about TAT, I am tired of being on MOT, I am tired of attempts being made to make the MTs feel like it is THEIR fault the POD has the highest number of unedited jobs in the system. Always the same old song and dance. The subject of MTs needing more pay per line comes up, and what does the speaker do? Redirect the focus on all the added "upgrades" to their software they plan to buy (probably for hundreds of thousands of dollars) to "help us be more productive". Got news for them. You can only go SO fast. There IS a limit. And after all the emphasis on accountability and accuracy, do they not see that speed just increases errors ...

Well, I see MQ is still touting the fact that we can produce more with ASR. Some things never change. Today our inhouse hourly waged MTs group figured out a way to keep our work in our clinic and not being outsourced. We are going to make our present wage AND get back some of the doctors that went to outside line count charge. We put our heads together and figured it out and our director (not an MT in any way, shape, or form) is all for our plans. Now that is what I call a first step to keeping our jobs in house! We were scared to present this but it would have been worse ...

I get a message from the Princess to register for the meeting. I register and then a message comes back and states thank for registering, but no information on how to get into the meeting. Then I get another message from the Princess to register NOW for the All hands meeting and so I register with another message stating thanks for registering with no information on how to listen to the meeting. Then I get another message this morning from the Princess stating to register ...
