Okay, so i wanted to give the old school girl try, ya know? This was the first check I could really see how this is going to work. Keeping in mind that over the Christmas week, most of my regular docs were off, and I had accounts that I had never done before, and most, were sitting there for a reason. After sitting for hours on end reviewing old note after old note to get the best quality for these unknown and often difficult providers, I was actually pretty proud of having only sent notes to QA that they, in turn, ended up sending with blanks. Couple that with accounts that require notes go to QA instead of being marked, doing a TSM a favor and doing a report she automatically sent to QA b/c it's a very tedious account, and the MT was off....all these things led to a 4 tier drop for me. Why? 1) My lines weren't where they usually are. This is to be expected with accounts you've never done and specs/old reports to review. 2) I provided quality and not quantity. 3) I had to send notes with blanks where they were barely speaking English to QA because there is NO way to get used to their accent if you don't do them on a regular basis, and at least a few notes were set to automatic QA. So...based on where I should have been, I lost $40 for that alone. THEN, because of my platform, I lost a whopping 102 lines!!!!! Something I cannot control!
My QA% is good, my lines are normally hovering around 200, so I just sent a note to the TSM. Crickets, I tell you. Crickets. THIS, ladies and gentleman, is the new compensation plan. We all knew it was BS to begin with, but when it comes to holidays, I see where a large problem develops. One day where your doc is out, and you are doing other accounts, and your WHOLE week is a major drop. 4 tiers!!!!!
So....I guess I know what the answer is going to be the next time someone asks me to help with a note they need ASAP. Uh, that would be a no. No more, no less. I need to learn that motto and live by it.

Aren't you in a pool? I rarely get the same doctor twice in a row or even the same hospital twice in a row. Last week, I worked on 30 different doctors/NPs/PAs in 6 different facilities, working part-time.

Yes, I am in a pool, but our former regular doctors will pull first, so you have to be quick on the draw if you don't want to lose them.

Everyone here is already dealing with the pay plan drama, your comment could have been kept. We all know how Nuance is so its not necessary to overwhelm people more with things that haven't even happened yet.
I have read a lot of your posts and you come off to be an extremely bitter, negative person and it goes way beyond the usual venting that we all are guilty of. Something about your posts are just eerie, negative and mean-spirited.

I my primary account most of the week, so they have me working in a tertiary account that I rarely work in, horrible dictators, and 30+ pages of account specs to go through...after the first day when I realized they were pulling only these reports for post-audit, I just started going for volume, since I know they will (and have, of this morning) audited me to drop me out of their grid. So, if they want patient safety, it's going to be compromised by folks like me who are only going for volume of lines, since the 10% QC is out of reach on a zero blank account with horrible dictators and they only audit you until they can drop you below the 99%...it's a sad time for this profession and I am hoping and praying my resume finds its way into the hands of a company who knows how to treat their employees.
