I have had my own medical transcription business for almost 30 years. Recently, my largest client informed me they are going to start using a template that docs will fill out when they see patients. I am losing a lot of income and really need to replace it. My friend told me that coding is a good thing to get into now. Saw this today. Apparently CEO of Nuance, Paul Ricci, made around $29 million last year. Makes me sick that when I was there I was barely making minimum wage after being an MT for 15 years. I came into this field long after the precedent was set on pay. I knew coming into this that the average wage ran from 6 cpl to 10 cpl, with most jobs hovering around 7 to 8 cpl.
