Well I would like to email the client and complain to them about the dictations that they expect me to make sense out of.  I have this one particular doc that is not only speaking so fast the tape is cut down to 80%, but she is whispering.  Afterall it is confidential info, so lets whisper so you can't hear the mess she is attempting to say.  Ugh all in a days work of stress and frustration.  Here comes my low LPH.

impossible, and you just can't guess, so you have to send blanks. Let her know, as she should know, it is the dictator's fault, not the MTs. Dont take this criticism laying down. Nicely remind her the drs arent held to any responsible standard of dictating and MTs cannot guess at what is being dictated.

I also got one recently saying our quality overall for one of our accounts was 96%.

I think maybe they need to have a talk with the QA department and not the MTs. The insane major errors they are handing out like candy are making Nuance look bad.

I worked QA and major errors did not include anything to do with commas, words like "the," "an," "and," etc.

I mean, aren't they shooting themselves in the foot, essentially? Less overblown and more reasonable QA would result in overall improved statistics in terms of our quality that you would think would sit better with the facilities.

I've been reluctant to think they really could be trumping it up just in order to pay fewer bonuses, but logic nearly dictates that's why, since being more reasonable would really seem to be to their advantage in terms of our reputation with clients. I can't even begin to count how many times I've been hit with deductions that would have been simple "FYI's" in the past at other MTSOs. This *is* insane.
I dont think N shares these trumped up bad audits with the client. - It is just something for N eyes SM

only, just a way to not pay bonuses. Client doesnt have to know a thing about this. Heck, N could even have a different set of audit numbers that they show the client.

is 99% minimum and leave it at that. Or actually use a different set of numbers, like you said, if pressed.

Certainly do wonder how some of the big mucky-mucks sleep at night.

Once a month audit reports went to the facility based on our QA audits.

I used to work for Transcend in QA and we were told to tone it down for that very reason.

Being that they send tons of work over to India isn't it plausible that THAT is the work the client is complaining about and making us look bad also?? But of course we will never know...

See I have picked up in this MT MTSO game is that the US MT is known as what is called the poo on the shoe. You see we are not trustworthy enough to work from home and get paid by the hour b/c we might just stay logged in and not work. We are stupid enough to make sense of the grammar that the doctor has butchered up and then think we have enough brains to fix it..what were we thinking. Hey we should be happy making our pitiful wages shouldn't we? Sarcasm, love it. I often wonder why so many days I am stuck with the worst of the worst. Drs that are that bad that they are constantly on mandatory pend b/c the MT just can't get it right. No matter what happens it is always the MTs fault. We should have known that entire sentence that was cut out, how dare we blank it. Oh well. I dream of the day I can find a job that pays me and treats me with a little bit of respect.

Always 3-4 emails after a week's worth of work with the 'corrections'. It is frustrating because I cannot hear what they say was dictated! If I am so bad at this, why keep me?? Although, who knows, maybe other people are getting more emails than I am. Of course, this was an account the TSM was so angry with our group because we "only" scored 99.5% accuracy and thus failed our audit. Can't wait until I am outta here! ...

Well, I certainly feel sorry for those 60 MTs they were able to persuade to go to work for them -- wonder what kind of promises they made them??  They've gotten this procedure down pat over the years -- drawing in unsuspecting MTs with promises of making more money.  All I have to say is good luck, especially since they probably failed to tell them about all of the wonderful changes that are happening, like loss of pay for sending to QA -- make sure you've updated your antide ...

They should have one standard format across all clients and if any client wants it changed, they should charge them per change or addition a recurring fee.  At the very least they should organize them better.  Maybe take advantage of different font colors, so they are easy to spot in the CP panel, like:  Physical exam: Stacked left, all caps subheadings.  and then pick a color for exceptions and put them all in red so its easier to spot.  ...

Anyway, the CP says: Physicians Names Dictated: Transcribe as dictated using a header tag. Does this mean that anytime a physician's name is dictated I have to make it as a header? I received a work type which has recently been changed over from a mandatory standard to headings. As I get shuffled around so many different accounts, so, of course I haven't seen this work type enough to remember where the body heading goes. So I inform my TSM of the deficiency that needs to be corrected as I spent considerable time checking past reports. Thirty different accounts, all with confusing and convoluted CPs.  Follow the DQS, then the TSG, then AAMT, then DQS and throw in the JCAHO dangerous abbreviation list just for funsies.  Wait...  Maybe it's the AAMT, TSG, then BOS, only this client is using BOS3, so disregard the BOS2 unless it is Dr. Bobsmyknob who wants his verbatim, but only when he is at the outreach clinic.  And if the CP doesn't specifically say it, DON'T DO IT no matter what the DQS, AAM ...

I have been noticing for the last few weeks that my deleted email file is empty when I have NOT emptied it or deleted the trashed emails.  Yesterday I went to my inbox and deleted several emails that I did not need.  They went to the deleted file and today they are GONE.  The deleted file is empty. Why, oh why can't all the dictators on one account use the same format????!!!!! Dozens of doctors on the same account and they all want different styles.  Some want headings capped, some do not.   Some want bold, some do not.  Some want them underlined and some do not.  Some want PHYSICAL EXAM, some PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, and then some EXAM.  Followinig on down in a note, you can just imagine how many differences there are with each dictator.  These guys ...

My manager emailed a list of hotkeys for WC but not the ones dealing with stopping and starting dictation. Everyone at my facility uses a pedal, so I have asked my coworkers but no one can give me an answer. I've found alt+p plays dictation and alt+s stops.
