Any one know number of blanks that can be sent to client - Under new policy??

how do they calculate that? What I was thinking was that IF a report has a blank in it, or 20 blanks, it would count as all the lines in THAT REPORT ONLY go against you in your 5%. All the reports (and number of lines) that DO NOT go to QA count in the 95%.
Am I right? How in the heck do you figure this out?

on the number of blanks you can send to the client. Any blanks caused by audio problems, etc., go directly to client regardless of how many blanks are in the report. What I've been told is if the blank is due to poor quality dictation reasons on the part of the dictator or recording, send it through to client as QA won't be able to figure it out either. As well, we only send things such as spelling/terminology questions to QA now.

Yes, all the blanks you want. Just blank the whole darn thing if you need to.
But, um, beware of the audit. They are going to get you whether you send a blank to QA or to the client.
Just wait. MQ will not let anyone off easy. They are sneaky and underhanded. If they cannot eliminate headcount by QA percentages, then they will do it with blank percentages to the clients in your audit. I can hear my QC now. Oh, that little darling is gonna have a field day.

those are the deciding factors to send to QA or to the client - nothing else.
If you're totally unsure about what's being said and it's not due to dictation quality, then send to QA. Otherwise, send to client. It's not hard to figure out who to send the blanks to.
There are a lot of MTs out there who just send blanks to QA to avoid having to take the extra time trying to figure it out themselves. They can still do that, however, now they will just get paid less for those reports above the 10%/5% submission range.
They are not taking away our ability to submit blanks to QA, they are just allowing us to bypass them in certain situations. We are also not being told to guess what's being said.

Absolutely correct, we are not being told to guess, nor are they taking the ability to send the report to the MME.
But there are already MTs posting on here saying that guessing is exactly what they are going to do.
And it will happen. Some will bypass the MME and send everything to the client even if it is not audio related. Don't doubt it in a second. There will then be another meeting about these blanks going to clients.
You know the rules, I know the rules, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE is going to follow them. Just read some of the posts on here.
It will certainly be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
I still say another QA department will rise from the ashes with a who new MQ invented moniker.

Why Can't They Have The Same CP For Every Client? Blanks/QA Jul 11, 2012Utterly confused. I took a big, BIG hit with the QA deduction in paycheck this week. So, I decided to investigate.
Like everyone else, I have about 10 "regular" accounts. No blank rule is mentioned anywhere on any of the Account Specifics. LPH And Blanks Apr 12, 2013I got a complaint from corporate that my lph are not where they should be via my TSM. I have been at MModal 6 weeks and just got off training. I was hired in at tier 3. Dozens of doctors on the same account and they all want different styles. Some want headings capped, some do not. Some want bold, some do not. Some want them underlined and some do not. Some want PHYSICAL EXAM, some PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, and then some EXAM. Followinig on down in a note, you can just imagine how many differences there are with each dictator.

Word Client Hotkeys May 03, 2010My manager emailed a list of hotkeys for WC but not the ones dealing with stopping and starting dictation. Everyone at my facility uses a pedal, so I have asked my coworkers but no one can give me an answer. I've found alt+p plays dictation and alt+s stops.
