How come when I had to F11 a job today (first time in 6 months), I was still paid for ASR rate, even though I typed it?

Is this because of all of the people "claiming to do an F11 day," thereby screwing the rest of us???

Probably. The "F11 day" is a stupid idea and - JMHO

I have not had a problem making up for the difference between straight and ASR pay. I use all the shortcuts and my expansions for a good portion of reports (operative) and any reports where the doc says the same thing in PE and such. I really do not have a problem with it other than ASR bores me to death. I am sorry you are struggling with ASR, but do not put everyone in the same category based on your experience because not everyone is having a problem staying at the same rate of pay doing ASR.

I'm not struggling with ASR, it's the ASR that struggles to get more than 5 words in a row correct. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones that can pretty much read through the reports without making many changes, otherwise you would not be making the same. Do not put everybody in the catagory you are in. Many do the same thing you are doing but do not have good ASR reports that need minimal editing or doctors that use the same dictation all the time where you can use expansions for physicals, etc.

By the way, it's not just my experience.

or are you just deleting all the text. It is a big hoopla to get paid half to do the same amount of work with ASR. Hit F11 and then when the box comes up asking you if you are sure you want to delete all the text (or something like that), hit yes and all the text will go away and you will get paid to type it.

Ive done ASR since the beginning. I think they did something to it so that if you have to F11, you will be paid the ASR rate anyway.

If someone else in the next few days has to use it, please check and post on here.

F11. I check each time I use F11 and the report always shows up on the "transcription" list and not in the "correction" list in DocQmanage, did one just last week. I do not know why it is different for you.

get paid typing rate. I did an F11 yesterday and it is in the typing line count. Don't think the talk of the F11 day has anything to do with it.

Really, aren't the ones who are accepting the lousy ASR rate the ones that are screwing the rest of us? You might want to think about that.

sm- I know how you feel. I didn't want to leave either. Unfortunately, everything was done to push us old timers out the door. I hung on as long as I could, but fair pay...it was a downhill run after the Q bought out Spheris.

They don't use docqmanage for payroll. Just because it doesn't show up in your transcription list, doesn't mean you didn't get credit for it. It has always been like this and I have never not gotten credit for it.

I was acquired 1 yr ago. I had 4 years service with previous company, and was told we brought that with us, so I assume now I have 5 years service, right? I live in Chicago Illinois. Like many of you, I am production but get payed so little a line even making 160 lines an hour I make minimum wage for my "state" which is currently $8.25 (pretty sad).
