Can someone answer PTO questions? - Acquired MT

I was acquired 1 yr ago. I had 4 years service with previous company, and was told we brought that with us, so I assume now I have 5 years service, right? At the time, there was a schedule of PTO hours earned per years of service, I think it was about 3 weeks if you had 5 years. I do not see that anymore. Does that mean everyone only earns 4.62 hours of PTO per pay period no matter how long they have been employed?
Also, regarding the "time off without pay." If I have used all of my PTO for NJA or days off, and then in October I want to take a week off, can I take that without pay? Are we entitled to our PTO plus days off without pay? If you take that, doesn't it lower your "benefit rate" the next 6 months?
Do you all plan to take your PTO hours and the without pay time each year?

[ In Reply To ..]I suggest checking with your HDSM (TSM) or looking at the policies. As far as the benefit rate, it is calculated by time of production hours (6 weeks?) divided by lines produced, I believe, so not producing (not working) would not have an effect on the rate. I'm part-time so I don't earn PTO at all any more and to my recollection, we were given PTO accrual when we were MADE to have a schedule! So much for that! :( Of course, any time with or without PTO/unpaid time, is STILL approved or disapproved at the discretion of your HDSM.

If we have to use our PTO for NJA, then why can't we use that "time without pay" for an actual vacation when we want it?

Your TSM is wrong and I would call Human Resources and let them know you've been told wrong by your TSM and have them tell you what the policy is.

 HDSM will review the request and approve or deny the request via email. Prior to approving an excused absence, the HDSM should verify the past absence history, current backlog, dictation volume/throughput and current staffing, future scheduling and already approved PTO for the days being requested to ensure there is appropriate coverage.
 Examples of time off for excused absences Includes but are not limited to: sick time, vacation time, family emergency etc. The amount of excused absences are as follows:
 Full-Time classification = 13 excused-unpaid absent days
 Part-Time classification = 13 excused-unpaid absent days
 Part-Time Flex = 13 excused absent-unpaid days
