Can anyone tell me where I send the constant errors on the same exact thing from ASR to so that they can fix it??? Please
you know that it wont get fixed anyway, right? - never does

And even if they do fix it, it will get changed back even quicker. I would create a shortcut to fix it, because soon we will be moved to MModal's ASR instead and its all different.
Yea kinda figured as much... :-( really wish I never bought into this company - jh

I've made shortcuts for most of the wrongs, this is a spacing problem cant fix it my way...ugh!!!
Been fixing the same things for 6 years - old and burned out

I would say that your goal to not be here very long is admirable. I have been doing this for 40 years and ended up here through buyouts. I worked for some good companies and some bad but nothing like this. This company's policies are despicable.
You file a QCare ticket with a document number - dnr

and describe the problem. Categorize it under ASR speech recognition as the problem. Results depend upon the person assigned to your group.
I came pretty close last night to sending in QCare ticket with a rant about why can't they get this doctor's ROS and PE right when she says the exact same thing 99% of the time and ASR never gets it right, but I didn't want to take the time. Instead, I just continue to paste my "standard" (example) over the ASR, and the ASR never learns. A lot quicker than making the 4-5 stops per line for correcting, punctuating and formatting.
constant errors - MT

If you were in my BOB you would email your CCM and/or Quality Coach and they would handle it. If you are seeing an error over and over again the speech engine can be tweaked to know what the right word is. CCM and/or Quality Coach would put in a ticket.
fix it yourself best bet - North MT

The reason your QA and your CCM don't answer you is because there is no answer. Nobody fixes the errors, in fact all they do is make it worse. The people you send things to are tech people with no medical background. It reminds me of when I used to do reports on Microsoft Word as an IC before I bought a medical spellchecker. Every medical word would be underlined and considered wrong. The best you can do is make an expansion (Ctrl-E) to fix it from what ASR spits out to what it should be. For example, now ASR has made its mind up to type the word appearence. I have an expansion set up so all I have to do is hit the space bar and it changes it to appearance.
It has been over 6 years and we are still seeing the same errors. They want documented job numbers because somehow they just don't believe that their Phillips reject speech engine could be making mistakes. Even with job numbers they still don't fix the mistakes and then new ones pop up like skipping words or just putting a genitalia term whenever it is unsure. Much easier to blame the MT or ignore them altogether. At a van. Forminal valley. The list goes on and on.
Have to agree I have never seen Ativan correct..but I did see it correct in place of something else. - jh
for some help yesterday and got nothing but garbled answers. I asked how to do something and got part of an answer but then told she did not remember how to do the rest of the steps. I can understand not knowing how to do something, but at least refer me to someone who does know how. This person was definitely not nice and thought it was very funny that I was having so much trouble with the system. The attitude was the worst I have ever encountered. Thes ...
I sent H an email asking how they chose those who were staying on, just to get a feel for their decision, but have not had the courtesy of a response back. Has anyone else asked and received a response? ...
I'm beyond thrilled! I have a good lead on a non-MT job. I have been promised multiple things and they have never happened. No raise in many years. Someone tell me again, what are the benefits of being an IC when you have to do the work of so many other people PLUS transcribe? It's ridiculous. Years ago, when I didn't have to do the work of others plus mine, I made SO much more money. ...
I had an ignore to my IM request by a QA lead team member. ?? Why would someone do that? Shouldn't I be able to communicate with this person? I'm confused. ...
Just read the MQ Central news about the pilot program for a new position called Region Team Lead (RTL).
I'm already confused enough, I don't need a new acronym.
They said the CTL would now be doing 100% QA and transcription.
It didn't really specify who will be doing PTO requests, etc. (unless I overlooked it)
I'm glad I already requested Christmas off and it was granted! Thanks CTL! I'll miss you! ...
An S8 lead was introduced in the lateral fluoroscopic view, and AP view was used to drive it to the mid T6 level. The lead was in the midline and then an s/l Octrad lead was placed just left to that one described above. ...
Hi fellow MTs.
Does anyone know anything about AssistMed based out of California or has anyone worked for them?
I am curious about their transcriptionists and also lead transcriptionist position. If anybody has an experience with this company, I would appreciate any info. Thanks.

There is a job on craigslist in my city for an MT job paying $17 an hour, part-time, Monday through Friday. Perhaps there is a Quest in your city or another lab that has an MT position. Just a small lead, but I thought I would share. ...

I have worked exclusively from a home office for 8 years as an MT. I've worked with many different platforms, straight transcription, editing, VR, training new MTs in on accounts, etc. A hospital in our area has a listing posted for Transcription Lead (in house). Who has made the change from MT to Lead and is willing to share about the transition? ...
it's just not working out for me there. I would rather have an IC position. I have an interview with another company. If I get it good, if not I will go substitute teach at the school...would prob make more money.
This fall I will be going back to college to get a BS in biology. I will be out of this disappointing career as soon as I can. What a waste of 2 years of my time to study medical transcription and the last 4 years trying to make money doing it. ...
my work and then I would have no problems getting my lines every pay period. What pieces of trash did they select to put in quasi-management positions? ...
Does anybody else get this impression? Or am I misunderstanding what this position is all about? All I know is, I have a weird sense of deja vu about it, like I've heard about this job before but with a different title. ...
have never been treated so badly at any company. My team lead sends out the nastiest e-mails I have ever received in my life. When I talked to my ROM (who is no longer there), she said I just needed to realize that this person had a very strong military background and that is "just how she is". I have been around a lot of military and most of them were taught to be tactful and at least half way nice. You never know what is going to set this one off or how she will react t ...
I've asked numerous times; all get ignored. I have asked what happens if I can't get my hours in (I'm FT) in any given week (s).....Will I lose my health insurance? She picks and chooses which emails to answer. Any FT'ers who regularly find it next to impossible to get their hours in -- did you lose your benefits? ...
Ever wonder what is going on with the work? Lots of it one day, none the next? You get no answers from anyone on your account? What are you supposed to do? I've about had it. ...
I've been working for almost two weeks now for a company and have sent QA several messages concerning questions about appropriate ways they want the reports done as well as dangerous abbreviations (I did not use them at my last job.) I cannot get an answer and it just bugs me badly. ...
No one answers my emails when I ask why my accounts have no work. It's been going on for a very long time, but so much worse now. I thought a new account was going ot start, but I haven't heard a word about it. Is something going on that I don't know about? I realize they were going to be switching to more SR and MTs weren't all that happy about it (my own pay will be 1.5 CPL lower and only 4CPL for SR work), but what happened?I absolutely hate coming to a r ...
from Qcare. I haven't been able to log into MQ central or get my e-mail for over 2 days already. I thought they were supposed to answer in 24 hours?! ...
Now Plllleeeeasssse moderator, don't move this to some other forum. I really do need for a MedQuist QA person to answer this question....
My original blurb was placed on here, and it was moved to the Word Board. I got answers from others who do NOT use ASR platform of MQs. I realize BOS2 says the number, and that is what I have been doing for about a year now. Here is the headache that we MQ employees endure. ASR seems to do whatever it wants and does NOT follow rul ...
How come when I had to F11 a job today (first time in 6 months), I was still paid for ASR rate, even though I typed it?
Is this because of all of the people "claiming to do an F11 day," thereby screwing the rest of us???

as it will be moved to the tech board where it belongs, but it doesn't have email options. I really would like someone to let me email them with a screenshot of the Chartnet I am working on. I have permission from my TL. We are switching over to Chartnet and I just hate it. I have read where everyone loves it but something is different with what I am working on. Early on, someone suggested it was set up in M-Modal version which is not as user friendly, but all ...
