Payroll question hopefully someone can answer? - Hope

I live in Chicago Illinois. Like many of you, I am production but get payed so little a line even making 160 lines an hour I make minimum wage for my "state" which is currently $8.25 (pretty sad). Anyway, Chicago is hiking the minum wage on July 1st to $10 an hour. As I live in Chicago, does anyone know if this pertains to me?

and our min. wage just went up to $10 and I have been receiving make up pay (MUP) that is balanced to $10 an hour ever since. Boy, I can't wait until our minimum wage goes up to $15 an hour, I wonder how happy MModal will be about making up pretty much all of my pay..

increases here too! Payroll automatically adjusted the increase then I take it? OMG I am so happy! I worked 10 hours of overtime this pay period. I will make more money straight time come July 1st than I received for the overtime. Mmodal is not going to like this at all! Will probably find a reason to fire me! LOL

quality wise. Just received the weekly and all three 100%. I am sure they will be waiting for me to screw up!

If you are in Seattle, you should be paid $11 an hour, not $10. - Another WA MT

Otherwise, minimum wage is $9.47 for rest of state. If you are in Seattle, make sure you are getting $11. Just want to make sure you know you are entitled to more if living in Seattle. If you aren't and they are paying you $10, lucky you! ;)

It just went up to $10 in January. I know because I work a second job as a server, and watch those raises like a hawk ;)

Tipped positions are different. - It is $11/hr for non-tipped employees such as MTs.

Tipped positions for small employers, such as your server position, are $10 with the $1 made up in tips, so still $11/hour at least. For MT, since you do not get tips, you should be paid $11/hour.

...where is all this changing the dates of the quarter coming from? I took the time to logon to Enrich (shocking, I know....had to look up my password) and just downloaded the payroll calendar that is currently on there. At the bottom it clearly states that the dates for 2014 Quarter 1 are Jan 1 to March 31. Am I missing something? I want these dates to still be correct as much as anyone...just wondering where the freakout came from. I'm sure someone will just say I'm naive....fine. ...

Some KSMTs posted they got paid today, some got paid on the 1st. This tells me this was not an issue with late line counts or the payroll guru asking them to kindly roll payroll ahead a few days. Truth has to be they do not have the money available to make payroll and had to pick and choose who to pay based on the money available.
