Seriously?!!? Mandatory update before I can log in. So thanks for making me late for work because I had to upload the stupid thing twice plus restart my computer. No notice, nothing. Why in the world must the tech people make my job twice as hard as it should be!? And MQ wonders why they have unhappy employees. Is it so hard to A) get the stupid program First Time Right and B) have some sort of communication with the employees?

I thought maybe I overlooked some message I should have read from my CCM or something but after going back, I couldn't find anything. It took my CCM 1-1/2 hours to get back to me on how to update, still haven't heard anything from tech, but doesn't matter now that I'm working. I'm sure I have to make up that time ON MY OWN TIME. They should pay for that down time. Isn't that illegal in some states?

Go work somewhere else or better yet start your own company and pay for your own platform and updates. Then you'll see why it is important to keep everything updated.

Some of you have no clue what it really takes.

Every computer program ever made has updates and fixes. It is the nature of the beast. I did a few years is computer programming in college, and, yes, updates are very necessary. Find a computer program that doesn't update and you will find one that is obsolete. I say leave the programmers alone, they're just like us, except they make more and have better job security...until they train the Indians on that too, which may have already happened. Programming is extremely stressful, which is why I didn't continue to pursue such career.

Ah, where to even start? First of all, I thought this forum was so we could vent our frustrations and sympathize with our fellow MTs situations, but apparently I was wrong.

Just so you understand I was trying to make up some time from yesterday because of NJA, logged in and was given the error message to upgrade AGAIN. There was no email telling us to upgrade nor were we made aware that without the upgrade we would be unable to work. I spent over 30 minutes unpaid upgrading the program again that I might add my paycuts and non raises have paid for and I have every right to complain about, especially when it doesn't work correctly.

I do have a clue what it takes and this company is the most unprofessional and discourteous to its employees with no respect for their time or hard work.

You just never know what you are going to get each day... Its like biting into those surprise chocolates and you get one that is nasty each time. Yuck.

Smile though, it could be worse! We are still working and putting food on the table.

I am trying harder to be thankful for each day, so I am passing that on to you in my prayers!

It's the lack of communication that is the biggest problem here. I have not heard anything about another update. It's bad enough that some of us sit with NJA so much of the time, but having to take that much extra time to wait for an upgrade and reboot with no communication about it ahead of time does not make it any easier. I don't blame her for venting. Someone should be able to come on here and vent and get things off their chest once in a while without being blasted for it.

Dear Anon, I surely agree with everything stated in your letter. I left 'he company' 6 months ago and am beginning to feel like parts of my brain have regenerated;I didn't know if they were beyond repair, the last couple of weeks I was with'the company.'

I would like to suggest that after reading it, you consider the possibility that The Chicago School of Economics, brought to you by Milton Friedman, the World Bank and the IMF, began to run out of countries to conduct their "economic experiments" on, and they turned their attention to the American middle class. I would suggest you think about the idea that they may have done so by "coloring" and "texturizing" the U.S. and global cultures so thoroughly with their agenda -- that the prevailing economic culture, which completely ignores human beings and their welfare (except those in the "Exquisitely Rich" class) is now self-booting. Only by carefully studying the nature of the situation and by educating ourselves and others, and then acting in response. will we be able to change anything.

Are human beings worth anything? Is work worth anything? Or are the majority of human beings who work just good to be "squeezed dry" of their labor until they collapse?

How would 'the company' respond to this question if they were forced to answer it with a gun to their corporate head?

enough to get its act together and notify in advance of updates, etc. This isn't an "accidental" oversight. A company that inept would have gone broke long ago. Ask yourselves why MQ would want to keep its employees so off balance and inconvenienced time after time, it's unbelievable how they're doing business. Do the ILP MTs go through these exercises in futility? I doubt it.

After seeing your post, I attempted to do the update, but got nada and I logged in just fine. Of course, I downloaded the fix when they anounced it earlier this week via email. When was the last time you updated? Whenever I update it only takes a couple minutes if that, and I have never had to reboot my PC. Are we talking about the same update? What exactly were you updating? Okay, now I'm confused.

I absolutely hate the account I type for....hate it. Is it really THAT difficult to want most of the physicians dictate correctly? I said 'most' too because I do know that to expect all of them to dictate correctly is ridiculous. I can't even average 10 reports an hour on this account because of the errors. It's such a nice holiday gift they're giving us. We all know that anytime you throw a new account or dictator in the mix it drops our LPH. Because of this it will also be dropping our PTO, which is based on our LPH/cpl.
