They seem pretty happy about having 28 sites in India and want to keep offshoring more of their work. I really wonder how many Americans, if properly educated about the whole thing, would really want their medical history sent overseas. I know clinics/hospitals don't care. They are using MQ and other services that offshore because they want to save a buck on services. Yeah I know, some of this is just old news. I guess it is just depressing because it seems all the complaining we do (rightfully so, mind you) is going into la-la land. No one is hearing it...or I should say "LISTENING". :(

Yeah, it is sad. I read somewhere where most of the scams in the U.S. are from Middle Eastern citizens.

Go to tennessean.com and put in our new CEO's name and you will find an interview that he did on 7/31 (this is probably the one that is posted on MQ Central). We all know what comes out management's mouths, whether they've been there a few months or years, so not going to go into that. After you read the article there is a comment section. When I looked at it there were 2 comments. The first one was blocked by the staff (hmm - wonder what MT went overboard with the language?) and the second comment is a good one and the MT put her name to it. I just hope that none of MTs who post get some sort of retaliation. We all know how they have ways to disguise how they can make someone miserable or better yet fire them.

Kudos to the poster and hopefully many more - you never know who might be reading those comments.

I just brought in my mail and there was the March 28 issue of "For the Record", a magazine that was part of my AHDI membership benefits. I don't know why they're still sending it to me because my AHDI membership ran out, but I the cover story of this issue is "The MT Credentialing Debate: What do Medical Transcriptionists Gain by Adding RMT or CMT to Their Resumes?" I haven't started reading it yet, but it should be interesting! ...

If you comment on the article, the only people to see it will be those specifically looking for that article in yesterday's Tennessean. What I would hope to happen is that everyone who wrote a reply to the article would copy your response and send it to the Tennessean's Letters to the Editor Section. That way, your response will be seen by many more people. Or...copy the link and send it to your local paper/TV station! Wouldn't hurt for people around the country ...
