What is going on in this industry is so wrong on so many levels that I can't help but think things will turn around. It has taken a while, but I do believe that these greedy, unscrupulous, horrible MTSOs will get what is coming to them. It seems it is already in motion and I look so forward to watching the demise of the MTSOs unfold. Thanks for sharing this article!

Docs are wising up. Just saw an ad for doctor office transcriptionist, stating at-home transcriptionists need not apply, 100% employer paid medical, vision, dental. Yes, we always knew we are 100% better than speech wreck and off-shore. I am submitting my resume! Umm, did I say 100% EMPLOYER paid medical, dental, vision, Mon-Fri shift.

Just read my own EHR from 2010 with multiple errors, here are a few: One section I have 2+ pedal edema, another section no lower extremity edema. I apparently had abdominal surgery in the form of an abdominal hysterectomy, (I think I would remember having an abdominal hysterectomy-which I have NOT had. My chief complaint is abdominal and chest pain, my pain level was 10/10 but I was "in no acute distress" and had NO abdominal tenderness (my chief complaint being abdominal pain!!) I guess that no acute distress is why they gave me morphine! Folks, this is for a 7 hour ER stay, can you imagine the multitude of errors in a 7-DAY stay?

I read somewhere that the employees of Gawker, an on-line news medium, had organized and voted for a union. They did this completely virtually, over computers, thereby bypassing management's chance to try to stop the effort. I am wondering if we should do the same thing. I plan on doing a little more research on it. Wouldn't that frost Nuance's little cookies if we could do something like that?? ...
