Did ya'll take that survey? I sure hope some of our comments here on MTStars, went into the "employee satisfaction" survey MQ recently had. On the question of "how well does MQ work for you", my reply was..."it doesn't" and I proceeded to say that I am worth and deserve a decent salary, among other things. I felt that was my chance..whether it ends up in the trash can or not, SOMEONE had to read it.

"The majority of MTs thought 'A' was important, so we are not going to offer 'B' or 'C' any longer."
They use surveys so they can blame MTs when they find another way to increase the MQ bottom line at the expense of the MT.
Anytime a survey is conducted, changes follow, and they are usually not in the interest of the MT.

[ In Reply To ..]years ago. It was wonderful then to work for them. They paid for phone, internet service, bonuses on top of bonuses and there was no such thing as ASR so we got paid our normal rate all the time.
Yes MQ used to be a great company to work for but it has dwindled to just another MTSO that sees the bottom line as pay for the execs. Did you notice they hired another new exec? Too many chiefs to pay out so no money left for us "lttle people."

[ In Reply To ..]I loved it!!! I could easily type 2000 lines a day, and at 10 cpl, that was AWESOME money. I would also get a 2 cpl bonus for any lines typed on the weekends AND, when there were huge backlogs, they would give bonuses like free 100 lines for every 500 typed, so if you did 2000 in a day, you got 400 free! That would be 2400 lines or 240.00 a day.
Where did those days go? The last 8 hour day I had, I made 89.00.

[ In Reply To ..]They claimed on survey results the MTs said good things about speech recognition so that justified to them cutting the percentage from 80% to 70% and then later to 60% because the MTs claimed how much faster it made them.
They claimed on different survey results the MTs were complaining about running out of work so they started the cesspool. Then because the cesspool was so unpopular and so many reports were ending up in QA they claimed on yet another survey result that the MTs were disagreeing about how they figured QA submission rate (lines versus reports) so they changed how they calculated QA submission and not in the MTs favor.
I fully agree there will be yet another change coming through soon that will not benefit the MT.

Just read through the survey without answering the questions. Waste of time! No matter how many of us answer it and regardless of what we say, after it is all over they will tell us that MQ employees love the company. I am an MT who has been around for 14 years with this company and I have my gripes like all the rest of you. I took the survey and stuck it to them when it mattered. For example, when they ask if compensation encourages people to do their best, the obvious answer is "strongly disagree" right? Before the new pay rule game, I made 7.5 cents (3.75 cents for editing). Then when this new pay game started, I made less at 7 cents. Every time MQ sends out a survey they use it to justify a pay cut or cesspool or other "great" ideas. They twist the results of the survey to fit their agenda and then say- see the MTs agree that ASR is better or they are sick of running out of work. JMHO but I am not filling it out so they can use my answers to make my job worse than it already is. ...
