For those who are comfortable sharing this info, what is the pay rate for VR (as opposed to straight typing) and what is the average amount of lines one can cover in an hour at MModal?  Thanks for your help.

Hopefully, I am correct, I've been here too long. 0.075 cpl, average lines 200 or so depending if you get crappy dictation that hour, which usually you do. Hate MM but also Nuance isn't any better. A smaller, more independent company would be better if you can keep IMMoral or Nuisance from gobbling them up.

Making minimum wage. A few lucky people have accounts where SR is decent. Otherwise, the SR is horrid and takes more time and effort than straight type.

so you cannot learn an account well enough to get a good line count. The most I ever get is 175-185 at .045 cents a line. RUN!!!

Do not forget mandatory quality score that - must be met and less than 3% to QA

Throw a few pennies on all that and you have one crappy job.

You bounce from account to account, each and every QA person has a different interpretation of what is correct and what is not, so you type it one way one day and get it wrong, type it the other way another day and get it wrong..YET your supposed to maintain a ridiculous 99.7% accuracy? The dictators are Never held accountable for their mistakes, so they send out mass emails, Dr. So and so, always enters this as an H&P but it should be a consult, so please make sure you correct it. So you are constantly bombarded with what to remember about many many different things, yet still expected to maintain an above 150 LPH so you can scrape by. My mind has a limit as to what it can remember, sorry..And dont forget the CPS that are written so obscurely that most of them are impossible to follow and open to interpretation. Your rate depends on what your hired as but it is not good for ASR, which is 99% of the work and I have yet to see an account where the ASR is better than 50% correct on every report (thats being generous). I agree, if you have other options by all means take them. The only thing I can say for Mmodal as compared to other companies I have worked for, is there are never late paychecks..On a scale of 1-10 I would give this company a 1..Im half way out the door and I will NEVER look back..

Just me is just me. They have driven me to rebellion. Everything you said is true and I have been there through it all and I am beyond trying to comprehend why the supervisors and the people that audit our work get paid more. MM gave us this UNPAID time, yet they get snarky when we take it. I have gotten to the point that if I have a work day but need just some personal time or to just a mental health day, I will take it and get on the swapboard and make up my time. I need to have SOME CONTROL over more than half the time I spend my life.

I will be sick that day and if they wont grant if for several days, Ill be sick for that time or my internet will go down or my personal computer will crash. There is not a THING they can do about it. I have never looked at the swap board, ever, and won't..Of course, in all truthfulness, I have a good TSM and scheduler, that have worked well with me with things that have come up last minute and all..But still, my time, is my time. Same with the mandatory overtime, not doing it. I didnt create the problem and Im not fixing it, not with a 12K paycut and taking my flexible schedule away over the years Im not.

MT week is about the only time they pretend to show respect with some silly games and hoops to jump through in order to get entered into a drawing for 400 gift cards. Other than that it is MOT and 99.65% expected quality and no raise for 10 years.

Just read through the survey without answering the questions.  Waste of time!  No matter how many of us answer it and regardless of what we say, after it is all over they will tell us that MQ employees love the company.  This is just a way to try to placate us and make us think that our opinions count.  You can all take turns flogging me if I'm wrong. ...

I am an MT who has been around for 14 years with this company and I have my gripes like all the rest of you.  I took the survey and stuck it to them when it mattered.  For example, when they ask if compensation encourages people to do their best, the obvious answer is "strongly disagree" right?  When they ask if compensation is clearly tied to performance....again "strongly disagree."  Whether our answers matter or not, it's our opportunity to vent our frustrations with ...

Before the new pay rule game, I made 7.5 cents (3.75 cents for editing). Then when this new pay game started, I made less at 7 cents. However, I find lately I've been actually making noticeably more money with this pay game. You just got to keep quality and pending to QC under control. Every time MQ sends out a survey they use it to justify a pay cut or cesspool or other "great" ideas.  They twist the results of the survey to fit their agenda and then say- see the MTs agree that ASR is better or they are sick of running out of work.  JMHO but I am not filling it out so they can use my answers to make my job worse than it already is. ...

Did ya'll take that survey?  I sure hope some of our comments here on MTStars, went into the "employee satisfaction" survey MQ recently had.  On the question of "how well does MQ work for you", my reply was..."it doesn't" and I proceeded to say that I am worth and deserve a decent salary, among other things.  I felt that was my chance..whether it ends up in the trash can or not, SOMEONE had to read it.    ...
