MQ now advertising under an alias - "The Right Thing"

While searching for another transcription job, I came across a company I had never heard of before, "The Right Thing" based in "Findley, Ohio." I thought this could be great, instead of staying with MedQuist offering the "Wrong Thing." I decided to look into it, and it was actually a Medquist advertisement! They posted they had 3000 MTs nationwide and here was some of the other verbatim wording.

I stand corrected. They posted serving "10,000" MTs, not 3000. The 3000 referred to their clients. This ad was posted in 3/2009. I laughed and cried in disbelief.

This is true. You can also find it on the wonderful AHDI website (formerly AAMT). Go to their career page for medical transcription jobs and at the bottom of the page there is an ad for RightThing and the first line actually says "MedQuist is a leading national provider...." Maybe this is the same ad as mentioned by previous poster?

How much more can MQ do?

Or maybe it has something to do with being owned by the Indians that they have to advertise under this name in the U.S. Who knows?

but they never state that. They never mention themselves as an agency, only "Medquist." A little odd to advertise that way, but maybe it was Medquist's idea.

GOOD POINT - let's put out that recruitment bonus to bring MTs in because they cannot take care of the GOOD MTs that have been loyal and stayed with them. This is pathetic! MQ is pathetic and I hope management reads these posts and will have the guts to respond. How sad.

Dont' worry, they won't actually PAY the bonus. They got me back that way, then said I didn't qualify because of QA submission rate. Read the fine print buried in one of the 10 books you get. They can hold you to 10% or 12% depending on your tier. Beware, anybody thinking this sounds good. I am still looking elsewhere, just can't quite get over the anger of the audacity. Thought I could move on, but I don't want to work for a company that treats their employees this way.

MQ has a recruiting office there. I don't know if it is actually a part of MQ or they just use them to get new recruits, but yes, it IS connected with MQ in one way or another.

The Right Thing is the recruiting company, silly goose. - They have been with the Q for a while now.

Don't say you weren't warned. They are nitpicking micromanagers who QA you to death on EVERYTHING, every comma, period. And they do it with an edge of attitude. I took their test and passed. I emailed them several times. They contacted me once and said they were filling full time positions first (I want part time to begin because I want to see before I commit to 40 hours a week if I can make money).
