TTD advertising again? - Wendy3
Posted: Aug 01, 2012
Can anyone who works for TTD tell me why they are advertising again? I see them on this board a lot and just wondered. High turnover rate or just lots of work? Thanks!

I have no idea. I was offered a job with them, been in contact with them via email and IM and still nothing! this after being told that they were sending me the information in an email "shortly." Well, it has been over two weeks since that "shortly" and still nothing. I don't have anything against companies, but don't string people along!

I worked for them briefly. They were the most unorganized, unprofessional, rude and awful company I have ever worked for. Training consisted of reading a few pages of a "manual." I never spoke to anyone on the phone. The only communication was via email, which they hardly ever responded to. They expect you to work when they ask, which is evenings and weekends, and that's fine, but if you want me to work evenings and weekends, pay me more than 0.03 per line! They constantly send out rude emails that we better log on right now or else. Just plain awful.

Can you tell me what kind of training you got from them? Are there accounts hard. Do you have to be under someone's QA hand initially? Thank!
There is a girl on here called destineyforfree or - something like that and she

works for TTD as QA lead from what I have read in her posts. Maybe if you can look through some of the old threads you can find some of her posts and email her directly from this site. She seems full of info on TTD and quick to answer questions about TTD.
I would say scroll through the post over the past month or two and you cant miss her post, not exactly sure about the name, but I know it is "destiney something free" maybe you could try emailing her for answers. She seems to be like a spokesperson for their company on these boards.
I don't know that I'd trust anything she says. - just sayin.

Seems to be too much of a "rah rah" cheerleader for that company, to me. I know I sure wouldn't stay and work anywhere as an IC for only 3 cents a line unless I personally knew the people very well and maybe not even then. I don't think this company has the best reputation. Like not paying people on time, can't keep people. I've read stuff about the rude e-mails from them, their pitiful training. I really don't think I would chance it with this place unless I was desperate.

You can call me a cheerleader, call me anything you would like. I refuse to lie, I refuse to allow inaccurate information to perpetuate, that is all.
As a book reviewer, there is something I try to live by in that regard and it carries through all of the other aspects of my life as well. Never judge a book by it's cover blurb and never judge a book by just one or two reviews. Sometimes it is best to find out for yourselves.
Everyone's experience will be different. Everyone's needs will vary and what one will get out of a situation is dependent on what one puts into it.
Call me a suit, call me a cheerleader, call me whatever you would like. It really has no effect on the fact that I show up for work, I do my job and I seem to have no problem getting a paycheck, having it arrive on time and accurately. Just because someone else has something different happen does not invalidate my experience, nor does mine invalidate theirs. But, the posts where people say they don't get paid astounds me because in 6 years, I have never had that problem.

You may feel free to contact me. I would have responded sooner but have been ill this last week and away from my computer.

Part of the reason is because of increased volume on some accounts. Part is because there were a few MTs who could not clear the QA requirements and are no longer with the company. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. I have had a positive experience here, although I can understand and admit that everyone's experience will be different.
While searching for another transcription job, I came across a company I had never heard of before, "The Right Thing" based in "Findley, Ohio." I thought this could be great, instead of staying with MedQuist offering the "Wrong Thing." I decided to look into it, and it was actually a Medquist advertisement! They posted they had 3000 MTs nationwide and here was some of the other verbatim wording.

which is no big deal, except that they can't seem to give me as much work as I want. Same office going off and hiring more people and yet I've repeatedly asked for more work. I've been trained on FOUR accounts, and then as each one peters out, they pull me off and put me on another one, and the cycle repeats.

Okay, isn't it odd that two weeks ago Landmark had an ad for psych transcriptionists and got over 1400 hits on that one ad. Now they have an ad for acute care MT's. Didn't they get enough applications two weeks ago? BTW, did anyone even hear from them about the Psych positions? ...
Last week SoftScript was advertizing for transcriptionists. I filled out the application on their website which I am sure many others did. They are back on a the same board advertizing again in less than a week. Do they really need help? ...
Why do these companies continue to keep job postings for open positions up if the position is already filled? Tired of testing just to be told that the position is filled. Is it that hard to take the ad down? ...
Don't say you weren't warned. They are nitpicking micromanagers who QA you to death on EVERYTHING, every comma, period. And they do it with an edge of attitude. If you did that same thing right 50 times but made a mistake and did not do it 1 time, they'll say, you need to read your account specifics carefully, makes no sense. The files are very short and you will not make much money. They pay by the minute. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they ...
Just got an e-mail from Glassdoor about "new jobs for medical transcription" and the first one in the list is M-Modal for acute care MT 3 days ago. How could they do this if they have filed for bankruptcy? Or is this just an automated posting for new MTs? ...
Assistmed is advertising again. I quit because in the four months I worked for them (8 paychecks), four times they were late by as much as a week or "forgot" to pay me. Just an FYI. ...
I saw an ad for MQ looking for MTs. In the ad they brag of 1500 customers (read mostly overseas), world-wide career path (read better move to India to keep your job) and $500 sign-on bonus (read MQ will make that back quick out of your line count). ...
Are you kidding me, with Softscript still advertising for hiring. I HAVE HAD NO WORK FOR ALMOST A MONTH. This is ridiculous. I cannot believe they have no respect for their loyal employees and are still hiring when there is no work. ...
I was promised I would be hired because I was very valuable with my experience. I have been un unemploment for and it will end in two weeks. Oracle promised me a job when it was up and told me to contact them. I contacted them last week and told them I cold start December 20. They proceeded to tell me that they could not hire me now because they recently hired 6 new people and they workload was low. I knew something was fishy about all of this so I left it go until ...
My husband was watching a music video on You Tube and called me in to show me an M*Modal ad streaming across the screen, advertising job openings! Now I've heard everything. ...
Am I the only one working up to 10+ accounts and still running out of work? SoftScript is advertising they are hiring 100+ MTs and stating they have "WORK WORK AND MORE WORK AVAILABLE." So, if that's the case, then why can't they keep those of us already working for them in work? ...
As of 08/09/2013, so how can they say the position has been eliminated? I took screen shots of the post for my attorney, so even if they take it down I have proof. it's on a prominant board for MTs looking for jobs. Not allowed to link here, but it shouldn't be too hard to find for a bunch of smart ladies like you guys.
Thank you to the MT who showed it to me! ...
I have seen ads several times on here for Cardus advertising for radiology MTs. I have applied several times and never heard back. Has anyone else heard back or has anyone worked for them? I just notice the job has been posted several times, so I am wondering if maybe it's not a good situation. ...

I cannot believe these MTSOs sprouting up, offering transcription for 5 cpl AND free trials, who advertise as though they are usingUS-based MTs but are obviously using third world slave labor and driving our salaries down even further.... I use only US-based and would rather go out of business then give them my business.... ...

I took their test and passed. I emailed them several times. They contacted me once and said they were filling full time positions first (I want part time to begin because I want to see before I commit to 40 hours a week if I can make money). I have worked for a teaching hospital for 30 years. Oh well. If they contact me now, I'll say "NO, THANK YOU!!" ...

I have 17 years experience in medical transcription with half of those years doing QA and the last four years doing VR for a hospital and I get an email back from the company saying they don't have any positions that would meet my criteria?!?!?!
I have a FT job and I was looking to supplement my income, get ahead start for the holiday season, ya know and I'm told that a 17-year MT veteran doesn't fit into any of their positions?

Nuance is first and foremost a software company that depends upon poorly paid MTs to do the work of software engineers to perfect speech recognition software. By pretending to be a legitimate MTSO, they can recruit innocent MTs straight out of school who have no expectations of being self-sufficient any time soon. They use you, though, until the speech wreck is in passable condition for front-end EHR or shipment off to India. Once this occurs, usually 6 to 8 weeks after acquisition of the accoun ...
