MQ hiring: False advertising - Scooby-Doo

I saw an ad for MQ looking for MTs. In the ad they brag of 1500 customers (read mostly overseas), world-wide career path (read better move to India to keep your job) and $500 sign-on bonus (read MQ will make that back quick out of your line count).

Well, I have another job doing transcription so fast food won't be an option. I don't even eat fast food so sure wouldn't work at a place like that. I agree a lot of good MTs left MQ, but we are considered independent contractors, so we don't have to deal with what the US side does. We seem to have more flexibility for some reason. I never understood why that is.

Intrigued by your name. Have been interested in starting some beginner yoga for flexibility and relaxation. Any suggestions? Putting off knee replacement as long as possible and need low/no impact exercise program before I lock up line the TinMan. TIA

Well, I would start off with a Hatha based class. I do Kundalini yoga, which is more spiritual based as well as a flow-based class, which is a bit more intense. It is great for the body and mind. I always have the best sleep on the nights I go to yoga. I am also into aromatherapy, which is the use of essential oils. It helps with a lot of fatigue from working and helping with getting a good sleep. Enjoy!

I don't understand these MTSOs. I've interviewed with both Keystrokes and Transcend per their job seeker's board ads for all shifts available, part-time and full-time, and offered a job. However, both declared no 1st shift openings and that they are only hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts, nor do they have any part-time openings. While searching for another transcription job, I came across a company I had never heard of before, "The Right Thing" based in "Findley, Ohio." I thought this could be great, instead of staying with MedQuist offering the "Wrong Thing." I decided to look into it, and it was actually a Medquist advertisement! I took their test and passed. I emailed them several times. They contacted me once and said they were filling full time positions first (I want part time to begin because I want to see before I commit to 40 hours a week if I can make money). I have 17 years experience in medical transcription with half of those years doing QA and the last four years doing VR for a hospital and I get an email back from the company saying they don't have any positions that would meet my criteria?!?!?!
