I wonder what it really takes - to be considered for

MT of the year/month or whatever. I figure if I show up for work every day, do everything I have to do without complaining, sometimes extra when asked, always make 99% or better on QA, then I should be considered for MT of the year, yet somehow imagine my name never even comes up when they are considering. What do you think someone has to do extra to even be considered, much less win?

I don't know, but if you're elected MT/MME of the year, you're stuck going to the AHDI convention thing--the people who are in no way for MTs/MMEs. They promote off-shoring you know.

I'll take a MT/MME of the month for a small gift certificate, though.

I have been a loyal employee for 17 years. Show up, do work, go home. Work the weekends, work the holidays, never refused a request for extra help and still.... NOTHING.

Wait, I should not say nothing. Before my company was bought by MQ, I won the title of Employee of the Month 3 times! That was pretty cool.

All the CCMs either nominate their QC, MMEs or employees they have known from other jobs. Work performance means nothing. It kind of makes me wish they would just do a random drawing instead of the same people getting nominated every year. Of course, what do they win? A trip to Indiana to the old biddy convention. The very same group of people who majorly benefited when Medquist screwed over their employees and looked the other way while Medquist frauded their clients and got caught. The same group who wants us to pay to join them and then sponsor sending work to India. No thanks. Maybe the criteria for winning this year was someone willing to be two-faced and sit at the convention without throwing up after listening to all the rah-rah BS.

on about winning a fabulous trip to Indianapolis, Indiana like they were sending you to Paris. Frankly I would rather win a trip to Bangalore, India, as I think this would be more interesting.

However, I am going to Las Vegas and from there I am driving to where she lives which is a little town in central Nevada. My mother-in-law bought me a plane ticket. How awesome is that. Otherwise I would never be able to afford it.

I know my CCM constantly praises her "couple girls" that she relies on nonstop. I help every time I am asked and ofter to help quite a bit too, but never get picked for anything. Very unfair to give them the power to pick, and I dont even know how they "like" some people over others when they dont even know us.

I also work for another company who has started docking pay for another issue and just wonder what other companies out there are doing this as I am ready to find a new company to work for. an application? I submitted one at least 2 weeks ago... and it was no easy process as I couldn't log into the system, yada, yada. So, that makes me even wonder if they got my app and resume. It has been 9 years since my one and only raise, so after hassling CCM for last few months, she finally got on the ball with it. First, I had to have an audit, which was done on 10/01 and my score was 99.89, so she went ahead with the paper work. Rarely are they taking 1/2 the time of straight typing. The majority are taking at least as long as it would to straight type and some more time. This is all due to the number of corrections and punctation and formatting I have to do! ...

I cant get signed on yet again..normally takes a while for it to load normally..Then I go to the windows mail (which wont let me send a message) and that gives some kind of message about mail not loading..you would think a HUGE company had a better email system..really not a very hard thing to set up... ...
