It's official, volumes low on Imedx due to Epic software roll out.

Epic roll out has the hospital users confused and they can't figure out how to dictate or Epic has absorbed our dictation by using some sort of electronic record substitute for dictation?

It depends on how the hospital wants to use it and/or how it forces the physicians to use it.

My health system uses Epic but we still have a lot of doctors who dictate and so still have 35 in house MTs. That being said, though, Epic reduced our transcription volume by 70%. We sent a good portion of our work to Nuance and now a very small fraction is sent out and I have a feeling that will all be coming back in house soon.

There are a lot of facilities that don't give their clinicians the opportunity to still dictate and it eliminates transcription altogether.

I wonder why all the posts about Epic and Imedx are deleting? I can't imagine that all of those posts could have been deleted by the authors?

A lot of times, someone will be freaked that their identity will be discovered, so they delete any posts that might reveal who they are. Happens all the time. No one else can delete a post, unless it's something inappropriate or forbidden in the rules, and clearly, none of these deleted posts had that criteria. My guess is someone is scared to be fired for their opinions -- before they've had a chance to find another job and tell iMedX and TTMS to shove it.

It was on 02/03/2015 that DH notified many employees of Imedx that EPIC was going to be used on some of Imedx accounts and she/Imedx had no idea of this change. The question now is: After 5 business days, did she/Imedx bother to call the hospitals and ask them when they will take 100% of the work away and convert to EPIC? No, she did not. No Imedx did not. Can anyone offer a suggestion? Recently, I am unable to hear the dictation on some reports. I have the volume all the way turned up, by using Ctrl +, and still cannot hear some reports clearly. I always seem to have issues with being able to get the audio up to a comfortable volume on the Bayscribe platform. I don't think it's an issue with my computer, as my other platforms have volumes that are just fine. Is there a volume booster somewhere on Bayscribe besides the obvious up and down button on the audio player that I'm overlooking? My Emdat voice quality has been very low recently. Unfortunately my ear phone cord broke and I ordered new earphones but it's just a whisper. Has anyone experienced a problem with their keyboard today while typing reports in Fluency. When I hit the Control + key while in the body of my report (to increase the volume) it is also changing my font size to larger. When I hit Control - key (to lower volume) it shrinks my font size.
