Check your email new policy regarding responsiveness - Unbelievable

I need time to read over again because I find so many flaws with their logic I cannot believe HR put out a new policy with such a double standard.  We are to be responsive or we can get fired but the supervisors can ignore phone calls and emails for weeks on end and that is okay?  Not to mention our "new and improved" email system is anything but reliable.

I call both with questions regarding account or policy, or anything even, and never get a call back. I guess, the email does not give a time frame as to when we have to respond, so maybe a month later is adequate?

I wonder if that means when she sends us an email to our personal home email on our days off! I agree too, they better have gotten the same email. My TSM never answers emails or phone calls.

They can tell us to take off "excused-no pay" as many days of the year as they like but if we take off one extra day without making it up, we can be fired.

I thought this thread was about emails? What do you mean we can take off "excused no pay" as many days of the year we would like, but take off one extra day without making it up and be fired. If you can take as many as you want, why would you have to make up. I just dont understand this at all. I thought only "excused no work" didnt have to be made up and I thought "excused no pay" are only allowed 5 for the year.

Stumped me.

What I am talking about is the difference between what the company can do and what we can do. If the TCM does not respond to emails for weeks that is fine; if we do not, we can be fired. If the company has no work and tells us to take "excused-no pay" for a couple of hundred days a year, that is fine; if we want one extra day of "excused-no pay" and do not make it up, we can be fired.

pretty simple. they are the boss, you work for THEM..You play by their rules or you come on here and say damn I was fired out of the blue for nothing..there is always a reason..If your TSM doesnt answer your emails, this isnt their policy..This is the companies, so you use the resources they have put in place to go over their heads and document..pretty simple..

Your post was hilarious! Reminded me of when they tried to lock us out of the system a few years ago except during our schedule. That lasted what, all of 2 weeks? I wondered then where our orange jumpsuits were, maybe they were saving them for this special occasion. Hopefully if we are good little employees and work our schedules we will get extra rec time in the yard or a second helping at dinner or maybe even work during our entire shift. Mmodal Prison Camp. I think MModal Prison Camp would be a vacation for me. Three squares provided (wouldnt have to work my rear off for no food like currently), free hair cuts, free legal, free room and board, and all for the low price of my sanity. Yea, its probably worth it. Hopefully, with my bad attitude, I will get solitary confinement and wont have to worry about sharing a cell!

I know this isn't what they intend, but I'm wondering if we need to stick to our schedules anymore.  If we can "make it up" in the same day, is it necessary to wait til our scheduled start time if we usually run out?  I mean, why wait til our scheduled second shift hours if we're afraid of running out?  Can't we get on earlier ("same day") and get whatever is available then?  I'm not saying this is fair to those who are scheduled earlier, but there� ...

So help me understand this "new" policy.  Are we taking a cut in what we accrue for PTO?  I have over 15 years with this company and find it hard to believe longevity/loyalty do NOT count.  So as I read it, the person that started yesterday will accrue at the same rate as me?  "full time employees will accrue 0.059 hgours of PTO for each paid hour up to a maximum of 4.62 hours  acrrued in a pay period."  HUH?  Not real clear to me.  So we only get 4.62 hours per pay period?  Havin ...


New NJA Policy

I would love to know how people are handling this new NJA policy.  As I understand it, if we get NJA during our work schedule, we are supposed to keep checking back for work through our shift.  We are allowed to work at any time up until midnight to get in our hours for the day without approval.  I really think if they have no work during your shift, they should pay your benefit rate for the hours there is no work.  I know some states have this, but mine does not.  It just does not seem rig ...

Anyone heard when the new PTO policy is going to be rolling out.  I thought they said it would be in January, so does that mean in Nuance time March/April?   Maybe they have to wait until they have "perfected" Fiesa.  This post audit M crap .. I feel soooo sorry for them having problems. A couple weeks ago someone on here mentioned that we do not have to use our PTO for NSA. She advised me to contact HR, which I did, who also told me the policy is we do NOT have to use our PTO for NSA. The conflict is, my SM sends out emails prior to time card approval stating we have to use PTO if we have it, or submit PTO for unpaid if we have no balance. I am curious to know if my SM just isnt aware of the policy, or if she just wants us to use our PTO so our hours will all be accounted for. ...
