Are we no longer getting break pay? - sm

I noticed today that the break pay section of the timesheet was gone today and when I clocked off a minute ago after working for 7 hours that in the "break" box, it said 0.00, when usually it would be 0.33.  Anyone know?  I know it's not a lot of money, but I usually get about 3 hours per pay period and about $30.  I would hate to lose that, cause every dollar counts.

break column has disappeared from my timesheet.

I went back over the last several pay periods and that column has disappeared from those as well when they were there before...I don't get it??

At what point did they disappear? Last month, 4 months ago, - a year? This is exactly what the SM

MTSO counts on. Nobody checking their checks to make sure all is well. And then when problem found, come here to gripe. Have any of you contacted payroll? MTSO depends on MTs not verifying their line cts also.

I noticed that too! In Teamwork if you click on "timesheet" and then "show calculations" on the right-hand side of the screen it shows up there. Of course they would change something like that and not bother to tell anyone.

I just checked my timesheet, no break pay listed. WTF? When did this start? I want my break pay back. Geez what else are they gonna do?

It's a new California law that was just enacted in April. And check the show calculations link on your timesheet and it shows up there

I checked the show calculations and it was listed there, so hopefully if they are still tracking break time, we'll still get paid. I live in Washington state, so maybe it does depend on the state you live in. I started here last July, and I had never gotten break pay before at any other company when I worked from home, so it was a happy surprise. I hope it continues.

It is illegal for company not to pay breaks in Oregon. By the way, Washington State is the highest paid state for minimum wage at 9.04. Oregon is second at 8.80. California is at 8.00.

Takes me one hour to get to the coast and one hour to go snow skiing. Great food, great wines, and so much to do for activities. No bone chilling weather in the winter and absolutely gorgeous country. Lived in Michigan, Florida, Arizona (climate sucks), California and Minnesota. Take the Northwest any day! Oh, no bugs, and no pain breathing humidity.

I dearly love Washington and Oregon but we have bugs where I live, I tnink you're forgetting about the slugs and certain other garden pests in addition to beneficial insects. I live in Central/Eastern Washington state and it gets dang cold here in the winter although the skiing and snowshoeing are great. Parts of our state get humid too, but maybe not compared to other places you've lived such as Florida. Very pretty country, though, and all in all a good place to visit and live.

"breaks." Not working your schedule. Not being productive........ We were definitely DISCOURAGED from taking a break for FREE, much less paid for one.

situation. They were discouraged, but at the very least you are to clock out and take them UNPAID.

Have you ever used the break function simply because you had a dictator that was so horrible that you got frustrated and sent it back?  I know that we are not supposed to do this and that MQ supposedly keeps track of how many breaks we use but I have to admit I have done this no occasion.  I had a report so bad a couple of weeks ago which was over 1000 seconds long and an ESL doctor, not to mention scratchy sound, etc.  About halfway through this thing I had already spent nearly 2 ...

I don't mind having an unpaid 30-minute break, but the thing that bothers me about some of these companies is the fact that it is tiring sitting at a computer for 8 hours and getting only a 30 minute break.  If I want two more 15 minute breaks those can be worked in, but then I have to add back 30 more minutes to my time!
