After some coworkers and I applied for positions with a different company, I was floored by how many went on and on about the recruiter being "so nice" and how that translated -- in their minds -- into a reflection of their immediate supervisor and everyone else within the company.
OF COURSE the recruiter is nice! If she weren't personable and didn't have that type of personality, most likely she would not be in the position of recruiter. Only the WORST managed companies (usually the smaller ones, in which individuals wear several different hats) have ill-tempered (fill in the blank: snarly, rude, angry, abrupt, etc.) recruiters. Should you ever encounter one of these, RUN as quickly as possible in the other direction.
The point here is that you shouldn't be fooled by the professional, warm, nice recruiter who "cares about you." Some of the lousiest companies on the planet have wonderful recruiters! You wil NOT be working with or for that recruiter (unless you work in HR), and in most cases you will never see or interact with her ever again once you are on board.
