Is DN still the recruiter at Softscript? - nm

I wish I could avoid her. If anyone is willing to share the email address of someone higher up (another HR person or her boss) than her, would you please email me? TIA

WHY? - Echo

Why would you say that? She was awesome to me. You must have been rude to her or not qualified. That would be the only reason why that I can think of. You should not say things about people that are negative. I had several of my coworkers apply and she was great to them too. Perhaps it was you?????

When I worked for SS a couple years ago, the recruiter was shockingly nasty. However, I just re-hired, and she was professional and pleasant. She has changed. I noticed from the timing of her emails she must work like a dog--I get crabby when I have to work like a dog, too, and thank God I can avoid people when I'm like that :) She can't.

Shift your energies elsewhere. They wont give you any work anyway. - Believe me. New hire and no work, no $$, quit. NM

But now you all are scaring me with this recruiter. What's so bad about this person? If she's just a recruiter, how does she affect your job at SS?

I need the scoop as I have an interview with her on Monday 12/03 and need to know what I'm walking into!! Thanks

She was the least of my worries - sm

I have read tons of posts talking about how horribly rude DN was during interview, but somehow she and I got along great. She was very nice, we chit-chatted about things not even related to the interview and she told me I was hired at the end of the interview. No problem whatsoever with her. HOWEVER, actually working for SS, well I no longer work there, now THAT was not a pleasant experience for sure!
sounds like a recurring problem with MTSOs lately - Paula

Sigh...What happened to the good old days when you had a job you liked? I love my IC job I do now (M-F 9-5) but am finding that VR editing is not as well paying as straight typing and I am getting older and really need benefits. All I want to do is type and get my paycheck, is that so wrong? I also loved my IC job before this one with RezZiliant until they over hired for my account and I was getting pretty close to ZERO work. Good line pay, good dictators, good work hours/days. Unfortunately, despite all my pleas for more work, nothing came my way and I had to look elsewhere. I guess we are becoming the dinosaurs of the medical field...sigh...

I also thought DN was really nice. As I posted earlier, she offered me a position but I'm not really sure I want to accept it. It's one of those situations where you know what you've got, but you don't know what you're gonna get. I'd appreciate any insight into this company that anyone can give. I told her I'd get back to her within a few days with a decision.

Thanks so much!

She was very nice to me and my coworkers that applied. I got the job and love working there. I am not sure why there are nasty posts about her. The people who said that must not have qualified. They do have a strict and higher standard which is what I like.
Easy to say - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
that the people who are complaining didn't get hired. Uh, wrong. I worked there for 3 years and if you only need a job for "fun money" then, yeah, Softscript might be fine for you.

I was assigned over 10+ accounts (all with different acct specs) and I ran out of work EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Also got nasty e-mails on a daily basis that were sent to everyone regardless of how you were doing. I never failed an audit the whole time I was there and I still got the nasty grams.

Also, the PTO is the absolute worst in the industry.

It may be one of the last straight typing only jobs but it is hardly worth it when there are no jobs to type.

I'm glad to hear some positives. I admit I'm spoiled in my IC position working M-F during the day. I'm more worried about what they can offer me regarding pay and benefits, I think. I've worked so many places in the last 2 years that run out of work, and that is also a concern. Thanks for the feedback!

Great Interview - Izzy

You should not let these posts discourage you from applying. I had a great interview. She is very nice and very classy. Don't listen to these negative nelly's. Obviously someone was rude to her and wants to say nasty things about her. She was quite nice to me today!

I have an interview with DN today :( - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
I just got a good job a few weeks ago and about the same time, DN scheduled an interview with me and it's today at 2 pm eastern time. I decided to go ahead with the interview just to see what she is like. If anyone has any questions they want me to ask her, let me know.

Bad idea - Anonymous

[ In Reply To ..]
First of all, asking others questions just to be asking and then reporting them here is a very bad idea. For one thing, what applies to one person may not apply to everyone. Second, if you have a good job, you are wasting DN's time, but apparently you have time to go through the interview process "just to see what she is like." I'm on the outside looking in, but based on what I have read, I'd have to question if you have a hidden agenda. Do the professional and courteous thing and cancel your interview.

no need to play those games, you can hold your head higher - and not do that. No better than them now.

[ In Reply To ..]
makes anything you have to 'report' useless crap. You think she won't know who you are? You gave your interview time.

What's that line from Forest Gump? Stupid is a stupid does.
Give the recruiter a chance here - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe I believe in giving the recruiter a fair chance. With all the remarks on these boards she deserves as much. She needs a job just like the rest of us and my guess is she has a pretty rough time of it too. I keep all my options open in this work. You should all do the same.
oh, right. Interview for nothing to keep the recruiters - on their toes. uh-huh.NM
[ In Reply To ..]
let someone who NEEDS A JOB get that time. You know how hard it is to get even that far in the hiring process with hundreds of resumes coming in?

Recruiter was snotty but most importantly, there was NO work - available, even after a month waiting for some. sm

[ In Reply To ..]
...and I was hired a little over a month ago, already quit, not a big fan of starving to death or eviction because there is no work to do and therefore no $$.

Recruiter DN is classy - izzy

[ In Reply To ..]
Just had an interview with the recruiting manager at SoftScript today. What a classy lady. One of the best interviews I have every had. She was very informative and helpful. I didn't qualify for the job and she gave me some directions as to what to do next. I did tell her about these posts on here and she said that unfortunately she has to tell people they are not qualified and they have a hard time accepting that so they have to make themself feel better by trashing the person that hurt their feelings as it makes them feel better. And that she felt sorry for them. Like I said, LOTS of Class. Too bad some of you don't have any! I will certainly be applying again once I get the experience they require.
I start at SS in a few days - Typing 24/7
[ In Reply To ..]
I found DN very informative about the job and forthcoming, not rude to me at all. I have had to email her about something since, and she responded quickly. Everything she said would happen in the hiring process has come to fruition and seems very organized so far. She didn't really ask me incredibly probing questions - I think the resume/years of experience and test pretty much speak for themselves in this kind of thing. Also found the tech department to be supportive. She just confirmed that I could type a certain number of lines per hour and that sort of thing, and talked about what hours I could work. I was given one primary and one secondary acct. Maybe I will get more down the road but hope that will be enough. The PTO is terrible. That was the biggest drawback for me in considering not taking the job but decided that the other 50-51 weeks of the year outweighed that. I will just cross that bridge when I come to it.
Don't worry about any of that. You won't have any work to do anyway. - Watch and see.....Been there nm

That is really disappointing to hear - Typing 24/7
[ In Reply To ..]
All I can do at this point is go in to the job optimistically and hope that my accts will have work. I will let you know what happens. At this point, it is out of my control, and I had no work where I was anyway. If I don't try, then I have gained nothing.
Good Luck there, my experience at SS started great and then ... - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
went downhill after about a year. I worked there for 3 years and the last year I spent every single day with NJA.

Maybe they have their act together now.

I couldn't care less about the recruiter. Once hired they are irrelevant anyway.
Not so classy really - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Sorry, but to say only people who didn't get hired were posting negative things about SS is ridiculous.

I certainly got hired and worked there for a few years until there simply was no work on a daily basis for months on end.

Most do not find it classy to lie and insult people.

Of course, your post is highly suspicious anyway.
Seriously? - ME
[ In Reply To ..]
I am not sure if you are talking to me as I stated I liked the recruiter. Why would you say an email is suspicious? Just because YOU have a difference of opinion does not mean that everyone else is suspicious. YOU could be suspicious as well and trying to sabatoge a company or person. Mabye you work for the competition? I stand by what I said and resent your accusations.

Recent Complaits About Softscript, Recruiter Etc
Oct 12, 2012

I called just a bit ago to this company and voiced my complaints to "A" regarding "DN" and her rudeness during the interview process. "A" informed me that this was the first complaint he had heard against her " (my tongue in cheek).  I told "A" that he should sign onto this website and read the complaints both against the company and the recruiter on this board.  I also mentioned that their schmaltzly/cutesy ads could be done away with and what they are paying to develop those ads ...

To MQ Recruiter

A comment from a post a few days ago has really been eating at me, so I'm finally compelled to respond. "I work for MedQuist as a recruiter. We understand how transient the transcription world is (employees hopping from one company to another)." One common misperception of MTs is that we're transients, more or less gypsies.  Years  ago, a VP of one of the very largest MTSOs told me "behind closed doors" that we were really just prostitutes whose pretty little heads could be ...

SS Recruiter Was It Just Me?
Sep 13, 2012

I had an interview earlier today wtih SS and I felt the recruiter was a bit snippy and condescending with the way the interview was handled.  The first thing she mentioned was the fact that she was "late and that the interview would have to be cut short" because when she tried to call me, she got the message that "all circuits were busy," on the phone line.  (Well it was 12 p.m. EST my time and we were having storms at the time).  I cannot control the phone lines or the phone comp ...

The Recruiter Is *ALWAYS* Nice
Dec 02, 2011

After some coworkers and I applied for positions with a different company, I was floored by how many went on and on about the recruiter being "so nice" and how that translated -- in their minds -- into a reflection of their immediate supervisor and everyone else within the company. OF COURSE the recruiter is nice!  If she weren't personable and didn't have that type of personality, most likely she would not be in the position of recruiter.  Only the WORST managed companies ( ...
