I have a very slow account, sit here 10 hours a day clocking in and out to try to get reports. Supervisor unresponsive unless I email her co-manager.. Promised a secondary but no sign of one. Not even making minimum wage; meanwhile, higherups are fine and keeping their jobs.

Now please get back on track and answer the original question in regard to what questions to ask the recruiter, I would like to know as well.

They did advertise that they have new accounts and it will be traditional typing for 90 days. The 2 hospitals are going to Nuance's Dragon--Voice Recognition. The Dragon needs you to train it, then after 90 days, those accounts will be all VR and the work will then go to India. I believe this is the way it all goes nowadays. You eventually will be left with all inaudible VR to edit...if you are lucky.
If the recruiter is still DR, it does not matter what questions you ask. sm - My experience

She will tell you whatever you want to hear. She was at Diskriter and I signed on and almost nothing was as she promised. She is happy and bubbly and very persuasive and everything a salesman should be, but in the end you are on your own in a mess, and she has moved on to her next sucker.

I personally have been off the computer for over 4 minutes, several times. I do not make a habit of it so maybe that is where others get butted off, making a habit each and every day. For occasional 4 minutes off like myself, no issue at all. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER heard from anyone at TTS because I have to a) get a new cup of coffee, b) go to the bathroom, c) put in a load of wash if I like. Why make up things?

then you must have your fingers on the keyboard or your foot on the pedal for 80% of that time which would equate to 6.4 hours of actual "work time" in that 8 hours of commitment. Not very difficult to achieve.

that the system times you out after 3-1/2 minutes of inactivity and you won't see it or have to log back on. If there is no activity in 10 minutes it will log you completely off the system and you will have to log back into the system with passwords.

for several minutes, exceeding the 4 minute allowance, came back, found the screen black, just hit the foot pedal and the work still there. I had a friend to stop by unexpectantly and spent some time trying to chat. This happened at least 3-4 times today and never did I have to log back in.

It doesn't log you completely out until 10 inactive minutes, but if you look at your line count it gives minutes of productive time and that's where it keeps track of the times it logs you out. This is on escription. She said if you are getting paid for 8 hours of productive time and you only get 6 hours in whether you make your line count or not, they will call you on it.

When I click alt-x to see my lines, it does not show my active minutes. It does show what time I got the job and what time I finished it, so I can figure out my minutes that way, but is there an easier way?
I think it should log you out at 10 minutes. That would be too - much time taken away

from the time you are supposed to be producing. I sit and work one report after another, not taking a break, lunch, etc. so never have been called on the carpet because of time unaccounted for.

Why do we have to have research books now when there is also no time given for trying to figure out WHAT is being said. Double-edged sword with this job and it being scrutinized by working at home. That is the bad side of it all. It does not always mean you are not working...it means you are hunting in all the books we have to have and all the rules we have to follow, yet downtime is not accounted for. Ridiculous to assume and given 4 minutes or 10, then leave a blank and have that be counted against you also. All this for pennies and no bennies.

a nice little chart that tells how much time you were productive on the clock-yes, they keep track of it. So, if your fingers and feet are moving actively, it doesn't sign you out of the system, but they monitor when you are active or not. Then, they will say you only worked 5.5 (example) hours out of your scheduled 8 and when do you plan on making it up.
If you have worked there very long, you should have seen these emails with productive stats in them. You ARE being micromanaged and monitored whether you think you are or not.

Do not feel micromanaged nor monitored. I do my work, hardly ever hear a word from them. I have heard others not working when they were supposed to....maybe that is where the fault lies. Dang, work your shift, keep good QA and TTS is a breeze!
