Recent complaits about Softscript, recruiter etc - nn

I called just a bit ago to this company and voiced my complaints to "A" regarding "DN" and her rudeness during the interview process. "A" informed me that this was the first complaint he had heard against her " (my tongue in cheek). I told "A" that he should sign onto this website and read the complaints both against the company and the recruiter on this board. I also mentioned that their schmaltzly/cutesy ads could be done away with and what they are paying to develop those ads could pay for about five transcriptionists a year in salary.

Again, maybe one voice will start getting the other voices working

He offered part-time (39 hours a week) and being part time, no benefits. Imagine that 1 hour short of full time and no benefits. I said your are kidding me right?

I too applied for PT work. If you listened carefully, PT is minimum of 20 hours up to 39 hours a week. PT rarely offers benefits anywhere - that is why it is PT. Where have you people been?????

For your information 37 1/2 hours is considered full time as is 32. Also some places you have to meet their requirement of line counts or reports per pay period, it doesn't matter if you work 40 hours or not. Where have you been?

Shakes head. There is obviouly a reason they advertise every other day. it's not due to more work because there are posts here about constantly running out of work.

I, too, applied to this company for part time radiology transcription. I clearly stated the hours of my full time job, which I dearly love, and I made it known I was looking for PT early evenings for a few hours a night. She sent me an email asking me to "choose" a suitable interview time. I immediately replied and then got back a message that all the times had been taken except one, so I would have to take that one. Fine. Next, she called for the interview, which lasted all of 90 seconds, give or take. Very quickly stated the position would be weekdays 4 am to 8 am, which I clearly had stated I could not do and when I said so, she said, very well, I will find another applicant. Have a good day and hung up! I sent her an email stating I had never had such a short, rude interview and please shred my application. I clearly wouldn't want to work for a company that employs her. She was "shocked that I thought the interview was short and/or that she was rude". Really?...

I do not think Softscript is the only employer who does this, I had a similar experience with Nuance. I was told they only had 1 opening for a shift that I did not want and that I had to take it because the jobs were on a "first come basis." I declined and then started getting e-mail from the Nuance recruiters telling me about all the wonderful openings they had. I said no to all of them and took a non-MT job.

Interesting everything negative over the past couple of weeks. - After this post the positives pop up. (nm)

I didn't even apply to your company but for some reason they're all over me, calling and emailing. I type radiology only; I told the recruiter that. He insists I need to put in an application and test, but I'm not sure I want to spend the time and of course he refuses to give me any details until I spend it. I think it's terrible that an MQ recruiter is on this board alluding to threatening MQ employees and former MQ employees about voicing their opinions about this company and that somehow they can figure out who we are. I have applied to Nuance, and already went thru the online process. Also had friends at N submit my resume. I got a voice mail from a "Colleen" at Nuance today, saying she has my resume, but I have to complete some "Assessment", which she has emailed to me, as far as links to follow. Well, no email from anyone, and when I called back the phone # on caller ID, it is Transcend, and there is no option to speak with anyone. Is this a red flag? LOL Don't answer that. ...

I worked for Medquist in 2006. I didn't stay long, but those 5 months seemed like a year. There were some of the very worst dictating clinicians that I've ever heard and I always ended my shift with a severe headache. Communication was practically nonexistent except for when QA wanted to complain. Recevied a message from OSI recruiter giving instructions to register for testing? Anyone know how long it took to receive the confirmation code once registering?
