Its not horrible, but - - lm

I wouldn't count on it as a full-time job. The pay rate just makes it too hard to make a ton of money, but I find it convenient if I just want to make a few dollars.

As far as the actual process, it's practically ideal. You can listen to a dictation before you commit to transcribing it and there's no pressure to work a certain amount or anything like that. Pay is once a week and on-time. The work is varied and can be pretty interesting but I imagine if you were trying to do it full-time you'd end up taking some cruddy files.

What program do you use with them? - Microsoft Word or other?

I am planning to start with them but as I have only used Bayscribe, find that I must learn a new program. I own Microsoft Word Starter, Office One and Express Scribe. Do you recommend any of these for use with an Infinity foot pedal? Thank you for your advice in this matter.

I use - lm

I use plain old Word and ExpressScribe with my Infinity foot pedal. They give you a template to use in Word, nothing fancy, very user friendly.
Thanks - for your response! (nm)

Does Infinity foot pedal - Work with Microsoft Word?
[ In Reply To ..]
Is it possible to use your Infinity foot pedal with Microsoft Word and Real Player so as to be able to transcribe with Microsoft Word, and how do you connect it to get it operational? Can't find information on this anywhere on the Internet. Thanks!

How Would You Transcribe This Please? SM
Jan 18, 2012

I am working on an account where I have had literally no training, on a program where I have had literally no training so I have no idea if it is verbatim or not. The doctor dictates "He was seen last by me in December of this year." Okay, it was actually December of last year or 2011, I would assume. Would you transcribe exactly what he says or would you change it to December 2011 or December of last year? Thanks so much!!! ...

Fox Transcribe & Net Transcripts
