mmodal is taking my hospital's transcription. 5 of us losing job. mmodal offered to let us test twice to be considered for a position. not so sure about it. ...
Does anyone know of companies hiring regular clinic transcription i.e. chart notes etc for OB/GYN, internal medicine, pediatrics? I see lots of adds for hospital work, but for those of us who don't enjoy the hospital accounts, it would be nice to know of companies who do straight clinic typing.
Any help is appreciated. Anyone just wanting to slam me for asking this, please do not respond.
Thanks ...
part-timers for weekend work anymore? That's the way it was done for years, full-timers for M-F and part-timers for weekends, and it worked great because so many MTs are looking for extra weekend part-time work anyway. It seems to be mostly the bigger corporations, as usual, changing things for the worse here. Is it just the laziness of the HR & management people, not wanting to process part-timers? I suspect a lot of the very-experienced MTs are working at small ...
I know this is an extreme long-shot, but I'm wondering if there are any good MT companies out there that hire M-F and pay a fair line rate (for the way things are today anyway). It doesn't matter to me whether I work employee or IC. I just left Nuance a couple months ago and am working general transcription on my own schedule right now, but it's way too strenuous for the pay rate and the work is sporadic. I've got to figure out my next move, but I hate to go back to working e ...
I have a friend who is looking for an MT job. She is just about done with school. Can anyone help me out with companies who hire newbies? I know there was a list on here at one time, long ago, but I cannot seem to find it. I think it was actually on the "old" board.
Thanks! ...
I am taking the Careerstep course and I am going to finish very soon. I hear that many companies wave their experience requirement if you take the Careerstep course, because it is so thorough and you transcribe so many reports that you can easily find a job. Is this true? Anyone out there graduate from Careerstep and find a job easily as a new MT. I mean how do you get the jobs if you do not have the experience. ...
I have a PT gig working as an IC but need a FT gig so want it as employee status.
Which companies hire employees rather than ICs? NO large nationals, please! I'm not gonna go there. :) ...
Does anyone know of stateside MTSOs who hire MTs outside of the country. After 30 plus years will be retiring outside of USA and would like to continue to work. ...
Would anyone who has been denied applying to a company because of the State they live in please post the name of the Company and the name of the State(s) they do not hire from.
I think this only pertains to EMPLOYEE Status, but if Independent Contractors have been denied, please indicate that you wanted IC status.

I've given VR a fair shot for close to a year now, but I still type much faster than I edit, so I've lost quite a bit of money since my account went to VR last year. I know that VR is almost everywhere these days, but does anyone know of any decent companies that still have straight typing and are actually hiring right now? I'm looking for acute care and I really don't care if it's IC or employee status at this point. I just want to do regular transcrip ...
Does anyone know of a good company to work for that hires part time?? That is all I want and alot of the companies on Job seeker's board want full time. I would appreciate any input!! ...
Are there any companys that hire for acute care positions without acutal acute care experience. I have extensive experience with multispecialty clinics but everytime I try to apply for acute care they want you to have acute care experience. ...
I have a full-time MT job working in-office, but would like to make extra money as an IC in the evenings and on weekends, but I don't necessarily want to commit to a certain amount of hours, but would rather commit to producing a minimum amount of lines per day or per pay period.
Any companies that work that way? ...
Does anyone have any recommendations on companies with accounts that use ExText--and have decent tech support? Yeah, I know, I' asking for the moon.
But I've been sitting here screaming for hours now bc the techs and managers for the umpteenth time have left me dead in the water and don't care. I'm taking out my umpteenth payday loan to get by and it's just not working for me anymore. (I've also worked on NCH software.)
Thanks. ...
My company was acquired by Nuance a few months back and so far the only thing that has changed has been e-mail addresses. Paystubs even still reflect our original company name. Will they keep our proprietary platform or make us change to eScription soon? Also, we're all ICs. Does anyone know if we will be required to become Nuance employees at the first of the year? ...
On the SR, I have less problems with the ESL doctors than with the Americans that have spoken English their whole lives. I think the ESL doctors on my accounts have taken more time to teach the SR than the American ones and besides, the American doctors love to slur their words. ...
FB page claims it is National Cheeseburger Day. In Hinduism religion (religion of 85% of Indians according to Wikipedia), cows are sacred and not usually food. Found it amusing the first line of the post is "Turkey can never beat cow." Today is National Cheeseburger Day. Seems a little insensitive to the Indian workers of MModal.
Maybe it's not odd, but after the week I had, I found it somewhat amusing. ...
Searching in vain for companies that hire IC status with no scheduled/required hours, only requiring a certain number of lines within a 12 hour or 24 hour period. They seem hard to come by these days. Really need that kind of flexibility. Thank you, in advance, for your input ...
