Softscript Saga - How is it that

mts have apparently been bailing left and right and there is oow? it again hearkens to managers not knowing one iota about what they are doing. mts who were good at mting being promoted to positions they have no skills for. mts bailing left and right might mean more work but not at ss.

what does a vp do? apparently no strategic thinking. no strategic thinking about why the mts leave and what the vp needs to do about that, no strategic thinking about oow day after day and what the vp needs to do about that. No strategic thinking period across the board.

At least their ad no longer promises "an abundance of work." That was one of sm - LTMT

the things that really frosted me when I was sitting there with no work day in and day out. Unfortunately, although many of us are leaving, the way the job market is there will be a fresh supply to take our place, believing the same old promises of "big new accounts" and it will get better after the holidays/cold weather/ides of March/etc.

I, for one, feel a great burden has been lifted from me by giving my notice. There are better places out there who do not overhire.

Management's plan is malignant neglect. They do nothing and hope enough people quit so that there will be bare-bones work (temporarily) for those who are left in order to cover up their overhiring mistake. But overhiring alone can't account for the incredible lack of work in the recent past. Nothing would surprise me less than to get an email announcing the company has gone belly up and we're all out of a job.

Dont kid yourself. All MTSO are like unwelcome relatives. - They will always be with us. nm

I wouldn't wish the company to fold. I do think the VP should step up to the plate and address the issue with a global email. If they overhired and/or lost accounts, they should be honest with the employees. But I'm not in management, so maybe I'm totally off base.

I hope things pick up for you. Normally, I am rather nervous and plagued with 2nd thoughts when I switch jobs, but things have been so intolerable that I have no misgivings whatsoever. I cannot pay my bills on less than 1/2 salary.

they have lost sight of the fact that without transcriptionists, they have no transcription COMPANY. they aren't the only ones, they are just the worst one. I am barely making minimum wage so I could REALLY CARE LESS if they all lose their jobs. this job is a joke. I can answer somebody's phone and make this much money. and I'm really tired of listening to their trite excuses.

I hope so. I am sick of their obnoxious, annoying - ads on mtjobs

I too am appalled at their ads on MTjobs. every week and promising all the work you would ever want. my finances are in ruins and all I do is beg for work. why are they hiring?? I think all of the management are just a bunch of liars and the new PMs have learned to lie right along with them, right there in their beds. and they advertised for a trainer?? that should be a red flag right there. why do they need a trainer? why don't you just let the people who work for you WORK and stop hiring? I don't have anything good to say about them.

I have noticed a significant decline in my line count with Softscript ever since their blooper that happened on MT week. I dont really understand how that has affected my line count so much but I used to type 23 jobs and get about 1000 lines. Now I type 23 jobs on the same accounts and get 700 lines. Something is wrong with this picture. I am looking for another job, I just feel like I'm wasting my time. ...

I tried applying for that job once, but they said that they wanted "recent" experience and the last time I did pathology was in 2001. And yet, they keep advertising for that position. I've not been working for SS very long and have been doing QA for them. I was wondering if anyone who reads this board is a QA, or has been a QA, for SS and, if so, do they audit you? How strict are the audits? What happens if you don't make the score? I have a friend who used to work for SS a couple years ago and she said that she quit because the audits were "nitpicky." Have over 10 years experience, have applied twice, have left my shift to work open. Have nothing against me, great references. Their email address they provide on their website when submitting emails to returns stating not a working email/no longer exists...Not one reply back. Do not answer their phones. How many mentors and Q coordinators can they really need? Sounds very possible that SS will go the way of TRS and MDI. The posts below sound eerily similar to the TRS and MDI sagas. If I were a betting man, I’d wager that, like TRS and MDI, the company will fail/sell out and be absorbed by a bigger one.
